Just for clarity sake:

I see many people are GENUINELY concerned over why I agreed to have the test done in just 2 skills rather than 4.

We couldn’t agree on having a physical test that would have afforded us the opportunity to be tested in the 4 skills as my worthy opponent wasn’t ready to reveal his identity.

We went ahead with the test but removed the stakes of me leaving the country since we won’t be having a proper test. In my post after I made the challenge, I explicitly listed that it’ll be on the 4 basic skills of language. Not agreeing to that would only mean my stake is off, too.

Just putting this out for the sake of those who genuinely think he boxed me into a corner as it seems majority missed it that my stake was off. We both made negotiations, compromised and went ahead with the test.

I lost. There is nothing like just “4 points”. Although we both had C2 which is the highest level obtainable but I still lost the contest.

I didn’t lose because he boxed me to a corner or outsmarted me. I lost because he is good.

Please expose your children to a lot of reading. Not school note or exam kind of reading.

Expose them to magazines and newspapers, buy them novels that fit their age grade.

When you go out together, challenge them to read what’s written on sign boards. Correct them if they are wrong and let them try again.

And particularly, build their self esteem so they don’t end up as Twitter trolls.

Please if you’re recording a video of any incident, say that time and place severally. I know it’s a lot of pressure at that moment, but that evidence is a lot stronger if you say the time and place. Their first move is always to deny the videos.
