Highlight of our proposal: 🧵
This child, Rashid, was buried underground with two floors above him, leaving no room for him to breathe. He was crying, trying to make me hear his voice, and he didn't calm down until I told him to stop crying and that I could hear him.
Rashid reminds me of our situation this year, as we are dying, crying, and screaming at the top of our lungs, but no one hears us or answers us.
But I heard Rashid and pulled him out from under the rubble after three hours of work, rescuing him after he had struggled for breath beneath two entire floors on his back. For the sake of Rashid and innocent children like him, I didn't stop my work; I didn't stop listening to their voices.
Did you stop listening to our voices?
Today marks one year since the start of an onslaught against the Palestinian people that has thus far claimed more than 43,000 lives. The violence that has been committed by Israel against Palestinians over many decades intensified after an attack on Israel by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups on 7 October last year.

A year of killing, starvation, displacement, terror, mothers’ cries, and children’s tears; a year of killing children, journalists, and doctors. It has been a year since the genocide in Gaza, and nothing has changed. 💔
People in #Gaza are asked repeatedly to move and bombarded repeatedly in areas that are supposed to be safe.
Today's deadly airstrikes in Khan Younis demonstrate once again the urgent need for a ceasefire.
No vaccine nor medicine can help if people are being killed and forced to live in such dire conditions.
"I'm not forgiving you, And I will ask My God not to forgive you."
Listen to the words of this young girl from Gaza, sending a message to the world after the massacre by the occupation in the displaced persons' school in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza a few days ago.
Nothing has ever shaken or broken me before like Mohamed did today during our filming. There is nothing in this world that justifies killing a man's children, mother, and wife all at once. He went from being the happiest man because of his children to being completely shattered in a single moment. This is the reality for all of us here in this hell.
We are being killed here, losing our dearest loved ones and friends, and all we have met with is abandonment and silence.
They bombed them as soon as they lined up for Fajr.
As soon as everyone was ready to pray, they dropped it.
May Allah grant every single one that became shared the highest rank in Jannah.
May Allaah grant patience to their loved ones آمين يا رب
Here is Ismail’s tribute to himself and the dying humanity.
“Let me tell you, my friend, that I no longer know the taste of sleep. The bodies of children and the screams of the injured and their blood-soaked images never leave my sight. The cries of mothers and the wailing of men who are missing their loved ones never fade from my hearing.
I can no longer bear the sound of children’s voices from beneath the rubble, nor can I forget the energy and power that reverberates at every moment, turning into a nightmare. It is no longer easy for me to stand before the rows of coffins, which are locked and extended, or to see the dead people more than the living who are fighting death beneath their homes, not finding a way out to safety and survival.
I am tired, my friend…”
Ismail Al-Ghoul
Al Jazeera Correspondent in Gaza
.@Hind_Gaza reporting on the killing of her colleagues at Al Jazeera is so brutal to watch. The deafening silence among journalist organizations around the world is shameful.
Israel’s maniacal massacre of the messenger in Gaza has happened because of people’s silence.
O Allah, on this morning, open for the people of Gaza the doors of relief and mercy, and grant them patience and strength to face the difficult circumstances، turn every hardship into ease, and every distress into a way out, and provide for them from sources they do not expect.
Mama I made it!
I occupied Parliament
Remember the #occupyParliament demonstrations?
But tell daddy I’m sorry
I won’t come home tonight
Not because I’m spending at a friends’. No!
Not because I’m among the injured.
No!
Nor because I was abducted as they have to most of us.
That would have been better
I’m in a cold dark place called the morgue Mama
I know daddy will be angry why I wore his shoes
I had to, I know they are bigger but I had to
Otherwise no one could have.
I know he will complain that I have read too much political novels
Please don’t let him blame Animal Farm,
Don’t let him blame Kidagaa Kimemwozea,
Don’t let him blame Tumbo Lisiloshiba,
Don’t let him blame Kifo Kisimani,
Don’t let him blame Mstahiki Meya,
Or Parliament of Owls
They can’t be blamed.
I did it for Our country.
They hailed us for being fearless Mama!
They called it an historic moment; actually unprecedented.
Did you watch the news?
All over the country thousands of us matched forward, wearing mostly black,
chanting slogans and singing revolutionary songs.
They call us GenZ Mama.
Some Mpigs say we have watched too much Netflix and we eat KFC.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes Mama,
I meant MPs.
Did you see how we sang ‘Kudade’ with Mc Gogo?
Did you see how Juliani turned up and we sang ‘Utawala’?
That song you call ‘Nikoo njaa siwezi karanga’?
Did you hear us sing ‘Tujiangalie’by Sauti Sol?
Have you seen King Kaka’s ‘ Wanataka Kutumaliza’?
Did you see how Mulamwah gave us Tea and Mandazi?
Have you seen all the comedians, Content creators and influencers?
I told you it will be Big Mama!
We matched forward Mama Slowly and peacefully Like you told me
We said we were peaceful
They rattled us with teargas and water canons Mama
We coughed, cried and chocked to the smoke but still matched on
We matched amidst the sting of that pink water they sprayed on us with those beastly vehicles
But nothing was more painful than hearing them pass that draconian punitive Bill Mama.
Remember how you used to forcefully give us porridge by locking us between your legs, pinching our noses then pouring a tone of porridge in our forcibly opened mouth?
Leaving us with two choices; swallowing or choking to death?
That’s what they did to us yesterday Mama
But unlike in the past, today’s child chose the latter; death!
We approached the parliament as promised.
We eventually occupied Parliament Mama
Albeit briefly.
The wall gave in and we entered.
I’m sorry I did not taste the rice
As some did Mama
All I tasted was the bullets Mama
They sprayed me with bullets Mama,
That’s why i won’t come home.
My battle is over Mama
But not the revolutionary war.
The entire TL this morning is death.
Tweet after tweet of mourning.
A father, a brother, a doctor, a volunteer.
All killed.
This war is killing us, and so is your silence.

The situation in Sudan brings me to my knees, every single fucken day. Every time I kneel to pray, I am brought to tears. And then I get up, write some emails, go to meetings, act like all is normal. And sometimes I wonder - does anyone give a f my family is still in a war zone?
