Today, for the first time, we mark the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and from now on, each year, June 11 will be a day of our gratitude to the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
Modern warfare can no longer be imagined without drones, and Ukrainian unmanned systems are operating successfully at different levels: from carrying out missions on the frontline to striking important enemy facilities hundreds of kilometers deep inside its territory. All of this is being documented, and it is thanks to the precision and skill of our operators that Russia’s losses have long exceeded 30,000 killed and wounded per month.
I thank each and every person serving in the Unmanned Systems Forces, developing Ukrainian technologies, and working for the sake of our advantage on the battlefield. Thank you to everyone who is working to reduce Russia’s capabilities and strengthen our security.
The number one murder hotspot in the country, KwaZakhele, is currently without electricity due to the failures of the ANC/EFF coalition of chaos in NMB
NMB deserves a caring and capable DA government that will restore basic services, improve safety, and bring back law and order.
🇿🇦 "Across our country, too many people have given up hope. They look at unemployment, crime, corruption, load-shedding, failing municipalities, collapsing infrastructure, and they ask: “Will anything ever change?”
Our answer is: yes.
Things can change.
They have changed where the DA governs.
And they can change here in Ekurhuleni too." - DA Leader, Geordin Hill-Lewis

🔒Feroz Khan handed over the name and address of a VBS curator who had laid criminal charges against Julius Malema over corruption at the bank - and channelled parliamentary questions to Malema, aimed at bringing down an Inspector-General of Intelligence. https://t.co/uBJ2nRPlcj
Today wasn’t just a candidate launch.
It was a statement of intent. There are no more ANC strongholds, and no more excuses. The DA is ready to fight for every ward, every community, and every resident of Tshwane.

We continue to apply Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russian military facilities and the oil industry. In particular, last night Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingos struck a military plant in Cheboksary that supplies the occupier’s army with components for drones and missiles. I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their precision! The Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara region was also hit last night. The distance from the frontline is more than 900 kilometers. I am grateful to the warriors of the Special Operations Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The entirely just responses of the Security Service of Ukraine also reached two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region, at a distance of 700 kilometers. I thank everyone who fights and works for Ukraine!
🚨 Emfuleni Local Municipality has lost water to the value of over R4 billion, yet the municipality still fails to fix water leaks. This water leak was reported in February 2026, 4 months later, no action has been taken to fix it; clean water goes to waste.
End this incompetence. Register to vote now. Visit https://t.co/MBBvJNwUli.
The suspension of #GuguMkhize as CEO of #Inseta is long overdue. Society must celebrate State entity boards that exercise moral courage and stand their ground on matters of required governance of CEO’s. They must resist external & political interference & Minister Manamela would be wise not to interfere here, despite likely pressure from those around him (including Ms Mkhize), to have her suspension lifted.

British MP Priti Patel speaks the truth about Iran’s Islamic terror regime: “No one should have any sympathy for the Iranian terrorist regime. It is a regime soaked in blood — the root cause of so much terror, death and destruction across the Middle East for decades.”
Exactly. The Islamic regime of Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of Islamic terrorism, arming, funding and directing Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and other jihadist proxies.
It executes its own people, oppresses women, hangs gays, and openly calls for the annihilation of Israel and the West.
Anyone still pushing for “dialogue” or “restraint” with this evil regime is either dangerously naive or actively complicit.
Priti Patel is right. The Iranian regime deserves no sympathy — only total defeat.
Why has Maj-Gen Feroz Khan not been suspended as yet?
He was arrested three weeks ago. Now, explosive evidence has emerged linking him to criminality.

Any party that wants to govern Tshwane will need to win new wards. The DA is the only party with the support, capacity and momentum to do so.

In December 2024, I received a lawyer’s letter on behalf of Major General Feroz Khan.
The letter accused me of making “defamatory” remarks, said it was “not unreasonable” to understand my reference to a “major general” as a reference to Khan, and demanded that I “formally retract” and “cease and desist” from making similar remarks.
The relevant issue then was already clear: allegations around questionable procurements, the secret service fund, media smear campaigns, and defeating the ends of justice in relation to a cocaine seizure case.
Now, less than two years later, Major General Khan is at the centre of the very kind of Crime Intelligence corruption crisis we warned about. The Madlanga Commission has now heard serious allegations involving Khan, his seized devices, and alleged interference in investigations. He has also reportedly withdrawn court attempts to block access to those devices and to have parts of the process heard behind closed doors.
This raises a much bigger question: how did a person with this level of controversy remain protected for so long inside one of the most sensitive environments in the SAPS?
It also demands proper scrutiny of how he rose through the ranks. Khan was promoted from colonel to major general, skipping brigadier. If that was irregular, who approved it, who protected it, and why?
Just remember that Khan reportedly also skipped the rank of lieutenant colonel. He went straight from captain to full colonel and straight from colonel to major general.
South Africans deserve a police service run by people committed to law, discipline and integrity, not a Crime Intelligence environment where warnings are met with lawyer’s letters, while the truth only surfaces years later through commissions and court papers.
I met with President of Finland @alexstubb and Prime Minister of Norway @jonasgahrstore. I informed them about contacts at the leaders’ level in the E3–Ukraine format as well as our contacts with the American side.
Right now, all our partners note that Ukraine’s positions on the frontline are significantly stronger, and therefore the approaches in diplomacy, which we are now working to reinvigorate, must be based precisely on this. Unfortunately, Russia is trying to compensate for its enormous losses on the battlefield with strikes on our cities and communities, on civilian infrastructure. That is why air defense missiles are our top priority. And we discussed how to secure additional supplies for Ukraine right now, as well as efforts to develop a European anti-ballistic missile system.
I am grateful to Alex and Jonas, and to the people of Finland and Norway, for their steadfast assistance and support. We appreciate that our agreements are being implemented.
