breakdowns don't necessarily mean crying. most of the time, it's you blankly staring somewhere and not having the energy to continue doing whatever it is you're doing.
not everybody's trust issues come from failed relationships, some of us had family members that hurt us or friends that betrayed us. disloyalty from anybody can result in trust issues.
i don't think people realize just how much strength it takes to pull your own self out of dark place mentally.. so if you've done that, today or any day, i'm so proud of you. and i want you to know you're the definition of strength and you deserve peace & everything good.
Being in healthy a relationship taught me there’s no such thing as “that's just who I am, take it or leave it”. When you wholeheartedly love a person, you work on those toxic traits, you learn to communicate, you respect each others feelings, you fix it and you stay—that's love.
your partner coming to you about something you’re doing wrong isn’t a personal attack. It’s a sign they value the relationship – it's a heads up. You communicate, you fix it, you stay. That's emotional maturity. That's love.
When discussing people pleasing, it’s important to recognize many aimed to please because their survival depended on it. It’s not as simple as learning boundaries & saying no. It’s honoring the younger versions of us who in an attempt to please, were hoping to be accepted & seen.
I think when you’re transitioning from being a people pleaser to someone with more boundaries it’s so weird, because it’s hard to tell if you’re being mean or if you’re just listening to your own feelings because you’re so used to this & only thinking about others
for the next 3 months the only thing im focusing on is improving my mental & physical health so by summer i WILL have a better mindset & a banging bod to go with it🫶🏼
