Powerful example on how our thoughts influence our actions towards others.
Every one of us plays an important role in building momentum towards a long term change. Acknowledging racial issues and educating the public on things we can do to help address them is a good first step.
Racism is learned.
This teacher shows a powerful lesson to her 3rd graders.
We must ask ourselves what are our words & actions teaching others,& just as importantly, what are we teaching our own selves.
Start having conversations to learn & once you learn, impact for the better
Don't deny it.
When I'm running on the trail passing you, I'm not a threat. Don't yell and scream and say you know what I was going to do. I know what I'm doing. I'm on a trail running. If YOU feel threatened by a… https://t.co/XavPH3lxiO
A new computational fluid dynamics study suggests you should be >4m behind other walkers, >10m behind runners, >20m behind cyclists to avoid droplets. That's if you're directly behind - much better if you're off to the side. Note: not yet peer-reviewed. https://t.co/haJCphnAy3
Enough is enough. To those who are still hanging out with friends or hosting dinner parties: Do the right thing and stay home. And while you’re at home, share this video to remind others they need to stay home too. #PlankTheCurve
Heart is broken, but it’s still healthy and beating strong! This is an important move in ensuring the health of all runners, their communities back home and NYC residents. Short term pain for a more probable summer/fall racing season. Definitely worth it! #unitednychalf

there is no better explainer on running's single biggest day, and it's resilient, independent fearless new stars.
Yesterday we sadly said goodbye to another running legend after a long battle with cancer. Sylvia inspired so many young women to dream big and strive daily to make them a reality. Prayers go out to her family.
The athletics family lost an icon today. We are in mourning at the loss of 🇨🇦 running pioneer Sylvia Ruegger.
Sylvia was the 🇨🇦marathon record holder from 1985 to 2013.
Here's a story about her battle that started in 2017 https://t.co/mfAGqdiWvG

What's your "threshold"? That depends how tired you are. New study finds critical speed starts decreasing after ~80min of effort, which may be one reason a sustainable (sub-threshold) pace can suddenly become unsustainable late in a marathon. https://t.co/FfL9K7OrzY
Couldn’t have asked for a better day to spend my final day in Vancouver! Happy to get one more race under my belt at the @RunCRSWest Scotia half and spend some quality time with my favourite runners #FsRC#M2M#Running
Happy to finally check Around the Bay @bayracerun off my bucket list. Loved the event and will be back for more! Though it wasn’t the race I hoped for, getting to run with @kristaduchene was a highlight. All the best in Boston!!
