Property taxes are a major barrier for first-time buyers in Texas.
My idea: a 1-year property tax abatement for first-time buyers who complete a short financial literacy course.
On a $400K home, that’s ~$8K saved.
Texas gives abatements to Tesla + Samsung — why not new homeowners
