It's truly incredible to watch a bunch of people — purportedly the smartest we've got — on repeat, tell us the thing they are building and refuse to stop building is going to kill us all. I've never seen anything like it, and I have no idea how to even begin talking about it.
@BradfemlyWalsh “Worshipful” is such an inaccurate and condescending way to describe it. We were shocked and traumatized. It reshaped our view of reality. I still see things as pre-9/11 and post-9/11.
@vincef1234@JackGogol00@MeanGene41@mattyglesias I’m with you. As Jan 6 was unfolding, it felt unthinkable and shocking. I was outraged by the images I saw and so sad and disappointed that my fellow citizens would mount an attack on a democratic institution. Disgust, shame. Up there with 9/11 (which I witnessed from my nyc apt)
@CatholicPods@BMcGrewvy You sound like you’re scared of independent reading and thinking. His habits seem far from “indiscriminate;” he’s perusing a wide breadth of knowledge.
@mikemovies I saw Jaws again yesterday for the first time in decades (at Vidiots - very fun!). In the past, I’d always been consumed by Shaw and Scheider, but this time Richard Dreyfuss’ sly and funny performance really stood out. It’s a great, great film.

@theOGshizun My dentist literally said, “Have baby, lose a tooth,” as if it’s the most common thing in the world. Also - my second child sat so high, he cracked a rib.
Seth Moulton: “Stephen Miller, the modern incarnation of the Gestapo right here in America. A racist full and through who is using Donald Trump, this increasingly senile president, for his aims of white domination. Stephen Miller’s a domestic terrorist. That’s who the domestic terrorist is”
