I wrote a blog post summarizing the work I've been doing with my amazing teammates for the last two years, creating the infrastructure for server-side rendered Javascript at Etsy. I'm really proud of what we built!

So excited but must go to sleep so I will be well rested for my favorite day of the year living in nyc; the day after the Yankees are eliminated from the playoffs.

Sorry one final thought here: IT people have been absolutely inundated through the pandemic and many were tagged as “essential” and thus put themselves at risk to keep our world going. Ever felt frustrated helping a relative with their tech? That is what iT people do ALL DAY.
I read this entire thread, including this mans explanation, his frustration and my conclusion is no IT person should ever help this man or people like this, but of course we will bc it’s the job.
So angry I typoed. No competent IT person wants frustrated users. No one takes special joy in withholding passwords. It’s frankly insulting anyone thinks this. Even users who drove me crazy, I ultimately wanted to help them so they would stop bothering me and we could both work!!
If you keep trying to get me to care about space billionaires, you are going to be disappointed because my only form of caring is abject rage at what a ridiculous ego contest waste this is while the world is shuddering its way through a continuing health and ecological disaster.
After being asked about Critical Race Theory, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley delivers an answer every American should watch.
Basura. NYC pls get this man up out of the paint. He wrote a whole op-Ed last year demanding Asians better assimilate into Whiteness in the face of physical violence. He has no business being the leader of NYC.
It’s bizarre that, in situations like this, reactionary people call for increased police presence, instead of recognizing that NYC has the highest funded police department in the nation and yet the police fail to protect people from violence.
Giving them more $ isn’t the answer.
