Excited to share our group’s work on chemically modifying FeMo-co. Here we report our strategy to selectively enrich one of its seven Fe sites with 57Fe for mechanistic studies of the Mo nitrogenase. Big thanks to Dmitriy, Brian, Dan, and @srisantitham.

Our latest Tutorial is out, and this illustrated guide on Schlenk lines by @AndryjBorys is in must-read territory https://t.co/L2eNF5V3zW. Tutorials are @Orgmet_ACS perspectives intended to be resources for researchers, students, and instructors: https://t.co/k4PKIXPAWA
A remarkably pedagogical series of Fe-imido complexes with unique spectroscopic markers is on @J_A_C_S . The counterintuitive Fe K-edge XAS pre-edge peak trend enlighten the electronic structures from the Fe(II)NAd up to the Fe(V)NAd. Check https://t.co/i2mygWEcX1 and the SI.
Did you know that copper together with a bit of oxygen can make a super ATRP catalyst?

(2/3) During work on this project, I managed to aromatize a nanoring but couldn’t reproduce it. After months I realized that when it worked, I used a stir bar that went black after other rxn with Li. Apparently, teflon reacts with active metals and forms species that interfere!
