@OregonGovBrown @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect When will PPS 6-12 students get to celebrate being released from the chains that bind of fear and union “bargaining”? The science says it should be NOW. #OpenSchoolsNow #fivefulldays

[Mark Chapman @chapy22]

ONE WEEK LEFT UNTIL MY SCHOOL RETURNS TO 5 DAYS A WEEK IN PERSON!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Can't wait to fill up the classroom & get these kids back to a normal routine & daily in person teaching!

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@OregonGovBrown Define what in-person means. Portland middle, high schoolers forced by “bargaining” into study hall (asynchronous only) in-person? My 16 y.o. wants to know why no one cares about them. Bargaining = students left with nothing? @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

Oregon has second lowest percentage of children receiving in person instruction. This is a failure with significant impacts on children's health, development and long term trajectories. We need to do better for our kids NOW. @OregonGovBrown @Super_GGuerrero #fivefulldays

[Burbio @BurbioCalendar]

With 49.1% of US K-12 students attending schools that offer traditional, every day in person, here is a snapshot of the state by state in-person learning situation. More can be found on our School Tracker page https://t.co/XRAZ6m9vjB

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@OregonGovBrown 0% of public school kids in Portland offered meaningful in person instruction. 0% equity vs their peers in private school or other states. #fivefulldays #leadershipneededasap

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@OregonGovBrown @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect @OregonGovBrown you mean study hall? No live instruction planned to be offered to middle/high. Where is the equity? Why is PPS held to no standard of meaningful education? #fivefulldays #ourkidsarehostages

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@OregonGovBrown @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect Oregon is 49th in the country on getting kids back to school for meaningful and real in person instruction. Disgraceful.

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@OregonGovBrown @Super_GGuerrero @PPSConnect PPS middle, high schoolers getting offered study hall as hybrid is sickening. Get our kids learning live NOW #fivefulldays like every other state.

[Jenna Degen @jennadegenpdx]

@akohnstamm @PPSConnect Thank you for supporting getting our kids back to school. Let’s remember our middle and high schoolers too!

Salama means peace🕊

After a difficult labor, baby Salama brought just that -- peace. Furaha, Salama's mother, felt peace and joy the moment she saw her baby alive and well.

"I will continue thanking God for saving Salama and the doctors who saved her and me."

We're doing everything we can to help local health authorities distribute the vaccine as soon as possible. Thanks @AlisonKIRO7 for sharing the news!

Furaha wasn’t expecting to live.

But an emergency surgery at a Medical Teams clinic saved her and her baby, and ultimately her family. 👩‍👧‍👦

@OregonGovBrown Thank you for prioritizing getting our kids back in school. Mental health of our middle/high schoolers suffering greatly.

In tonight’s presidential debate the President said the “Portland Sheriff” supports him. As the Multnomah County Sheriff I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him.

Thank you @ccampbellGHS from the bottom of our parent and student hearts for your leadership at Grant High School. It makes such a unique impact when a leader brings their heart into the school like you did. You will be greatly missed. https://t.co/8BXXidjDN9
