@Cassandraglynn Thank you! My parents adopted their 3 grandchildren (estranged brothers kids), but the kids wanted to switch to mom/dad/sisters, etc afterward. I am their “big sister” but also, I’m 25 years older so I’m kind of the “mom” or the “aunt” at times. All that matters is I love them ❤️
@AdamKinzinger I was the first in my family to finish college and went entirely on loans because my family didn’t have a ton of money but believed that was the only way I would succeed. They are retired now, on a fixed income, and benefit IMMENSELY from forgiveness/reforms to Parent Plus.
@PadmaLakshmi I use the air fryer! Cooks to the amount of crispness I like, has a built in drip pan for the grease, easy to clean up the mess, and simple to use in my small kitchen.
@AdamKinzinger@VP was addressing people with disabilities, including the visually impaired, at an anniversary event for the ADA and used a common best practice to be inclusive. Trumpism is about subjugating democracy as we know it and idolizing an authoritarian. Not even a little bit the same.
@jenmercieca I know I’m not helpful in this particular convo but I live in central WA, it’s high desert so summers are consistently over 100 degrees and my electric bill was $23 last month 😬
@sarahschauer Anyway, I empathize with that person. It was so stressful and also kind of embarrassing because they assumed I was just kind of stupid but I grew up in the country and had been driving cars since I was like 13.
@sarahschauer I lived in S Korea and got a drivers license. I took the drivers test in English but it was clear someone had just run the Korean test through Google translate. There were several answers that were logical fallacies. And I couldn’t ask any ?s in English. I failed 3 times haha.
