@Ralpharama@Icelandair They are making people rebook during the most expensive times / peak season and forcing you to pay the difference in charges - which for us would have been upwards of $1200 MORE than what we paid for our original flights.
@Icelandair I understand your company is dealing with a lot right now but the way your treating your customers is terrible. We are in a world pandemic. You'd rather try and charge twice as much to rebook and lose our business than help us rebook, free of charge, and keep our business.
@Icelandair For the record, we arestuck in Chicago. We flew to Chicago before being made aware of the European ban and having to stay in Chicago. Had we not stayed and cancelled our Iceland Air flight, we would be stranded in Europe with a baby at home.
@Icelandair There is no excuse as to why we shouldn't have received or be receiving a refund / chance to rebook our trip to Europe - FREE OF ALL FEES OR FLIGHT DIFFERENCE CHARGES.
@Icelandair As previously mentioned, your customer service is absolutely unexceptable. YOU ARE A HIGH RISK AREA because you're a part of Europe - whether you're directly affected in the exact location of Iceland or not.
@Icelandair Not even 1hr after we got off the phone with one of your *terrible* "customer service" reps, the United States declared a travel ban to ALL of Europe. We could have been mid flight and stranded.
@Icelandair UPDATE: we were told we couldn't be offered a refund or rebook because "we weren't going to a country of high risk". We knew the ban was coming.
@Icelandair With everything going on right now, you should be working with your customers to find a solution to a problem that's completely out of our hands. Your policies need to be revisited. All around TERRIBLE customer service.
@Icelandair If we were to leave now, we run the risk of being trapped in Europe with a baby at home and that's unexceptable. Your rep on the phone has also stated that there is not one single manager or supervisor in office.
@Icelandair Your customer service is absolutely unexceptable. We have a flight planned to Europe in 2 hours and the US is about to declare a level 3 travel alert for all of Europe and you won't let us rebook for a later date.
