Ben Affleck says "Justice League" reshoots were "the low point of my career" and the studio used the death of Zack Snyder's daughter as an "excuse" to replace Snyder with Joss Whedon.
"That was sh*tty, him being taken off that movie and the reshoots that we did... Somebody's death by suicide eclipses everything. The way in which that was, I thought, used as an excuse [to replace Zack with Joss Whedon] was one of the sh*ttiest things I've ever seen. It was so gross. The whole environment and vibe [on set during the reshoots], much of which I was not privy to but heard secondhand from the actors, it was just, 'Wow, this is about as gross as it gets.'"
"I saw how not to make a movie like that, which is where the studio is at odds with the filmmaker. You are really making a mistake. I was really glad and gratified that Zack got to release [his version via the SnyderCut]. That was f*cking great. I was really happy for him." (via Happy Sad Confused)

@CorpAbsurdity Everyone wants into corporate thinking it's this prestigious institution of smart-fellas when, in reality, it's just wellpaid daycare for the most idiotic, unstable, and spiteful people you've ever met.
Workplaces should let their introverted employees do their jobs in peace. Not everyone wants to take part in every team-building activity, attend every office event, or socialize with coworkers after work. Some of us just want to show up, do our jobs, get paid, and go home
We really do live in two different Americas because a $300k job would literally solve EVERY problem I have. Yet there are people who are struggling with that income. Very wild.
With the online rape academy we were accused of “inflating the numbers,” with the Cornell rapists we were “jumping to conclusions,” now we just “can’t take a joke.” When will the problem finally be men’s behavior and not just women’s reaction to it.
My theory on books is that they will find you when it is time for you to read them. If a book has sat on your shelf unread for 15 years, the time has not yet come for you to read it.
I wish adults got field trips. Why are we just going to work every day like that’s all there is to life??? Take us to the aquarium. Take us to the zoo. Take us to a museum. I’m tired of spreadsheets. I want to see penguins.
“Schitt’s Creek” star Dan Levy is calling out Shane Gillis' #SNL monologue.
"I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it’s complacency that has created the environment in which women are sexually assaulted and it’s a ‘conversation’ as opposed to a ‘crime.'" https://t.co/HmSE7SLEn5
"The more emotionally regulated you become, the more you realize that communicating your feelings isn't urgent. Sit with it. Sleep on it. Think about it. Let the intensity pass. You don't have to rush into expression just because the emotion feels loud." ~Kendra Henderson
someone on threads said, “the female bird doesnt explain to the male bird what he needs to do to impress her, she just leaves when he fails.” i think about that a lot.
Too bad Matt Lafleur (@Packers) decided abuse against women doesn't show someone's character and defended that man. First time in my life I was ever rooting for the @ChicagoBears, @NFL. #RIPDitka I like to think he was a man's man who knew men who hit women have no character.
UPDATE: Frank Carter has further addressed the male instigator who entered the women-only mosh pit at Sex Pistols' Denver show on Friday night, as well as those who took offense at his response.
"If you are a man who gets offended by a band making room for a female only moshpit then you are PART OF THE PROBLEM. Stay home, read a book by Bell Hooks, come back when kindness, compassion and empathy have landed with you. Incels, homophobes, misogynists, racists, fascists not welcome. Also this isn't up for debate. I don't care for your pedantry. If it isn't your lived experience, don’t fucking speak on it. If you are offended by being told something isn't for you then imagine how it feels to be a woman in the current climate. And finally… When I say a Ladies only moshpit pit. I of course mean a trans inclusionary space. The space is for people who don't usually feel safe… To dance and have fun without the worry of physical, sexual or psychological violence being used against them while they are vulnerable."
hey does anyone else also thinks its eerily coincidental that the moment women with autism and adhd start to get recognised and diagnosed we suddenly see a wave of people pushing this ‘over-diagnosis’ rhetoric
