Power went out twice last night in Barrhaven with heavy freezing rain and it’s looking like the #ONStorm is still going strong into the night. Fingers crossed the power doesn’t go out again tonight and I hope everyone is staying safe!
Every time I see #ottawaisinontario trending, I lose five brain cells and need to log off Twitter for the day. Everyone who’s seen the hashtag knows this has to be an April fool’s day joke right 🥲
I have no words honestly. This was in my parents’ neighbourhood and I would like to highlight the spelling error here. If you’re going to make a political statement, at least have someone spellcheck.
Happy Lunar New Year, everyone. After a trying couple of years, here’s hoping for one of health, happiness and prosperity. 新年快樂, 身體健康!

Not only is it #LunarNewYear , it’s also #BlackHistoryMonth. Today’s an important day for both communities and I want to share this—I have more thoughts to share however, I’ll leave it here for now. Learn our histories and the lessons that come from it, and stand by us.
As I try to reconnect with my roots, it makes me so happy to see how society and the media has embraced Lunar New Year. Our community is always open to those who want to join us and celebrate.
The little girl who was ashamed would be so proud at how far we’ve come.
It’s Lunar New Year and I want to share some facts I’ve learned from my mom today:
- don’t move furniture
- don’t make any doctor’s appointments
- eat vegan
- praying ceremony order is to your ancestors, the Gods, and then the home
- no washing your hair today
lunar new year is all about collective health. @lorrainelamchop and i, along with local businesses, aunties + friends are raising money for @SanctuaryTO, Unity Kitchen, Toronto Prisoners' Rights Project + @MaggiesToronto to buy survival gear for the unhoused

Happy Lunar New Year to all! For the folks that celebrate it, embrace this time with family and honour your traditions. It’s taken me a long time to be proud to share my roots and experiences because I didn’t want to be ‘different’. Our differences and cultures are what makes us.
@AvishSood Resumes are tailored to job descriptions anyway so if my resume and small portfolio aren’t enough, I don’t see how a cover letter is going to change a hiring manager’s mind. It’s really hard to showcase personality and work ethic through a formal letter too
Back in university classes starting tonight. Kind of excited and absolutely nervous after taking two semesters off. While I know taking two semesters off was beneficial, the imposter syndrome still kicks in at full speed — kind of like zooming over a speed bump you didn’t see.
When I think of millennial pink, the first brand that comes to mind is @glossier . They’ve done such a phenomenal job at creating fun, minimal, and sleek packaging that attracts consumers across the board. Most of their packaging can be repurposed too 👍🏼
💗 "Millennial Pink," a range of dusty rose to cotton candy hues, ruled the design world after Pantone dubbed "Rose Quartz" the color of 2016.
It kicked off the trend of generational colors that align with social and economic movements.

My parents and I got our boosters! We couldn’t book at Nepean Sportsplex but still got an appointment through OPH at EY Centre; super grateful for the speedy process. #GetVaccinated
Hi everyone! Happy holidays - my Instagram has been taken over by Bitcoin scammers/phishing scammers.
Please don’t interact with the account and report it. I’m on day 3 of trying to get it back but so far, no dice.
Reporting live from New West.
My friends out here and my family are staying indoors and safe. Fortunately, we still have power and markets are still open #BCFloods
