I’ve never received monetary help from my parents in my life, just birthday and Christmas gifts. Everything I have, I’ve worked my ass off for. So I want quality care in my later years if I ever need it.
That’s why I need that financial flexibility in retirement, especially in ~20 years when quality memory care already costs around $20K a month today. Medicare doesn’t cover one cent, and who knows what it will cost then?
