This serves as a reminder for me to keep my watch and pay particular attention in the fact that it takes double, no, maybe tenfold, for my voice to be heard on equal ground. Don't let the system play me or let my identity drown out as simply a clowny young girl.
As someone who thought of herself to be loud and clear enough to the point of obnoxious, experiencing first hand an event where I apparently had to be even more "clear" about an opinion that I repeated multiple times across multiple occasions is beyond staggering.
Even more disappointingly so, this came from someone that I once saw as supportive and careful of being an ally for women. I've never felt this crushed and spiteful for being a woman in tech. Perhaps I've been lucky thus far.
Most roadmaps are setting up their product teams to fail.
