The mother, Andrea Skopova, 20, appeared in court charged with her daughter’s murder at the property in Holywell Heights.

Peter Horvath Jr, 19, the boyfriend of Andrea but not the father and his parents Nina Horvathova, 37, and Peter Horvath Sr, 38, also appeared beside her in the dock wearing grey prison-issue tracksuits at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court charged with Baby S’s murder.

All four are also charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and also perverting the course of justice by cleaning a crime scene.

District Judge Tim Spruce remanded all five defendants in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow.

These are the people libtards want you to welcome with open arms. For as long as scum like this are permitted to live in the UK, horrific murders like this will continue to happen.

I am furious.
Our son was murdered by a man whose violent and vicious history and risks were repeatedly missed.

Now we learn that another mentally ill man with a fixation on us and the Nottingham case travelled to Somerset, including our home town, seeking out victims' families; and the police chose not to tell us.

@nottspolice knew. The @policeconduct knew.

Yet nobody thought Barnaby's family deserved a warning.
Nobody thought Charlie's school deserved safeguarding advice.
Nobody thought we had a right to know.

Is this even legal? Isn’t this within 'Osman warning'.

As @drsanjoykumar points out in the story; the Calocane family were heaped with additional support and resources, including CCTV to make them safe.

We had zero.

How many more shocking failures are we expected to uncover ourselves?

Victims' families should not have to fight for every piece of information while those responsible hide behind processes and excuses.

Please forgive the rant. Someone very close to me has spent an extraordinary amount of time chasing an NHS breast clinic for answers.

Repeated calls. No clear explanation. No proper conversation with the doctor responsible. An appointment where the doctor wasn’t even there. Still having to chase.

I’m helping her make a formal complaint. But how many people don’t have someone to help them? How many simply give up chasing, while their condition gets worse?

We are constantly told to “protect the NHS” and treat it as some sort of national religion.

No.

The NHS exists to protect patients. Patients do not exist to protect the reputation of the NHS.

When people are frightened, unwell and waiting for answers, “keep ringing us” and “oh, sorry the doctor isn’t here” is not a healthcare system.

It is a system that is broken in which good people suffer unnecessarily.

The Special Air Service is the jewel in the crown of our Armed Forces.

Professional, effective and feared.
‘The Regiment’ provides a unique advantage to Britain in any violent
conflict. Explicitly elite, and built on the virtues of courage, honour and
skill it was founded to win wars through special operations. Speed, skill
and intelligence are their modus operandi.

Their reputation is international.

When I was at Trump’s inauguration I heard many criticisms of our Armed Forces but it was always accompanied by praise for the SAS. It was the one branch of our Armed Forces that received unanimous respect.

This report is an excellent analysis of the role of the SAS in Northern Ireland from 1976 to 2007. They were sent to confront a well-funded, armed and organised terrorist organisation. They played a decisive role in convincing the Provisional IRA that the ‘armed struggle’ could not win.

Without the SAS there would have been no Good Friday Agreement.

It is also excellent in that it describes the pernicious effects of enforcing
an extreme interpretation of human rights law as the ultimate legal
framework, and how that degrades effective political sovereignty and
action.

Special Forces were deployed in Northern Ireland under the ordinary
law of the land. It was only when the Good Friday agreement was signed
that the retrospective legal actions against veterans began. While the
soldiers of the Provisional IRA were sent letters of pardon and forgiveness.
This is what happens when the rule of law morphs into the rule of lawyers, enforced and created by judges who have no experience of war and are hostile to any reality that does not conform to individual rights.

We owe a debt of great gratitude to the veterans of the SAS who served
in the long deployment in Northern Ireland. They served with great
courage and honour in extremely dangerous and violent conditions. It
is a breach of our military covenant that veterans are investigated and
prosecuted in their old age because of an understanding of the law that
did not exist when they were active. This is demoralising ‘The Regiment’ and leading to severe problems in recruitment.

A great injustice is being done by the pursuit of these prosecutions by
the British State. Reciprocity requires a mutual amnesty and the conditions.

This man, Ed Butler, was an outstanding Commanding Officer of 22 SAS and my boss there. He is experienced and with superb judgement. A great servant of the nation and its people, and in the most high pressure circumstances imaginable.

He should be listened to. This is not just an SAS issue, but a national issue.
