If 'Assamese' is a territorial and linguistic identity, why does Assamese literature only mean writings in 'Assamese Language and it's older forms?
Do you think such a narrow definition leaves the other smaller tribes to fend for its own, with little support from the Assam govt?

Dibrugarh University,Assam invites applications to Certificate Course in Mising Language and Deori Language. Also courses on Tai Ahom language. Course on Mising language was introduced earlier too which was discontinued after some years. Now reintroduced ! #Tribes #Language

MISING: Indigenous Tribe of Assam, India will be celebrating Language Day called as Mising Agom Longé to commemorate long tribal struggle, in preservation its language and culture.

GU Langauge certificate course update- A joint delegation of TMPK and Mising Agom Kebang met with the Vice chancellor today who 'assured' that the courses will be restarted and would continue.
TMPK tells me that written notification to follow soon.
