Re-opening of XLink - Security Upgrades
We are excited to announce the upcoming re-opening of XLink, equipped with significant security upgrades:

🔒Our smart contracts are now managed by @FireblocksHQ -custodied MPC wallets on Ethereum and BSC, and a custom smart contract-based multisig on all Bitcoin L2s where such MPC wallets are not supported.
🔒All reserve assets for aBTC have been migrated to the @Cobo_Global -custodied MPC wallet.

First Stage of Re-opening
The initial phase of XLink's re-opening will include:
✅aBTC support between Bitcoin and Bitcoin L2s (excluding Stacks), and between Bitcoin L2s.
✅aBTC peg-out from @Stacks to Bitcoin (but no peg-in).
✅sUSDT peg-out from @Stacks to BSC (but no peg-in).

Upon successful completion of this first stage, we plan to expand support for more assets and full support for @Stacks .

Timeline
📅We are in the final stages of testing and preparation, targeting late this week for the first stage of the re-opening.

We are pleased to announce that XLink is taking decisive actions to reinforce the security of our platform. Our first major initiative is the strategic engagement with Kaamel Technology for Incident Response.

In response to the recent exploit and to prevent future occurrences, we are partnering with Kaamel Technology, a leader in cybersecurity. Their comprehensive services will include:

Investigation: Conducting an in-depth investigation to identify the root cause of the incident.

Containment and Remediation: Implementing robust measures to eliminate vulnerabilities and prevent future breaches.

In addition to these measures, the security upgrades we previously communicated are not only ongoing but are being accelerated:

Cobo Collaboration: Our partnership with @Cobo_Global, our BTC custodian, whose robust setup secured the reserve asset of aBTC, is being expanded to expedite the migration of our web3 key management to the Cobo MPC infrastructure.
