DRC has minerals the word needs, and drc needs investments. @AugustCohen4 , invests ,create jobs for congolese families and advocates for DRC. How is that a bad trade for us? #Ebola in #DRC is not currently spreading westward.

And while transmission continues to occur, it is beginning to slow which eventually means the epidemic will end. I agree with you governance is the key and given transmission is slowing clearly suggests #Congo has solid state capacity when it comes to disease management of highly infectious diseases despite limited resources that must be spent in a country that size of western Europe.

I'd add governance would improve if the fascist regimes in Kigali and Kampala that you openly support would stop their violent interventions in Congo to steal its resources to traffic to the Chinese and Emirates - the latter of which are arming a genocide of Africans in Sudan.

#DRC: Important point relayed today at this Atlantic Council gathering. The man who now leads African diplomacy for @realDonaldTrump is expressing a growing bipartisan view of Africa - namely, that it is in the US's long term economic and security interests that we source not just minerals, but products from those minerals from Africa. This aligns with the views of DRC's elites (in and out of power) that #Congo must industrialize around its minerals to supply its economy and the world's.
