Democrats are failing to defend abortion, the climate, and democracy.
Should we despair? No.
History shows that ordinary people have the power to force political elites to fight for our rights — thru *mass action*.

Grocery workers are essential and deserve better pay!
I teamed up with @EW4Democracy to create a mobile web app that allows workers to compare their contract to others across the nation.
Empowering workers to fight for better pay and better conditions!
I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.
No refugee underfunded a school.
No refugee closed a hospital.
No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.
We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!
As current & former elected members of the national leadership of DSA, we write to express our support and to highlight the importance of the passage of the Democracy Commission’s reform package and chapter affiliation agreements. https://t.co/zB6VaTKhBw
Mamdani won. The establishment is in panic.
Billionaires are raising money against him; Trump is ranting; Islamophobes are on the loose.
They know what we know: Candidates who stand boldly with the working class can win not only in NYC, but anywhere.
Let's stand with Zohran.
If 5% of Zohran volunteers are ready to join DSA, that’s huge. Let’s recruit them!
But to generate the power needed to win Z’s platform, we need to build a broader vehicle for the other 95%.
DSA should help lead that movement, alongside all organizations that endorsed Z.
Agree. After Zohran wins in November, we can’t let the campaign infrastructure and 10,000s of activists demobilize.
Power in numbers, and numbers need organization. Otherwise we’re just online petition signers, hoping our political leaders can get it done, mostly on their own.
There are lots of Zohran's 50K volunteers who aren't yet ready to join DSA but who'd join a broader campaign for his core 3 planks with its own neighborhood & workplace structures
A push to join DSA is necessary but insufficient to sustain & deepen this movement

One of the biggest limitations of almost all electoral efforts—including Obama & Bernie's campaigns—is that they dismantle their volunteer armies after election day
Instead, Zohran could actively transform his huge GOTV machine into a deep organizing campaign to win his agenda
DSA needs to meet the political moment. Too busy prepping for convention to realize the conditions for mass mobilization are developing and the organization must be constantly preparing.

SIGN THE LETTER TO STAND UP FOR UFCW RANK & FILE!
Two fellow workers, Iris Scott and Kyong Barry, have stood up for our democratic rights to vote in our union by filing a lawsuit for fair representation in our International Union elections. 🧵
In 2023, our union spent a combined $20,053,611 in pay for just 61 union officials making over $250k — up to $740,892.
The average grocery worker in the US makes an average of $31,110 a year.
Are your local officers in the UFCW's $250k Club? More: https://t.co/UdmL2QSK4o
