As an Ex-Muslim, let me explain a rabbinic mystery that points straight at the Trinity I used to mock.
The most important prayer in Judaism is the Shema: “Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4.
I used to quote this AGAINST Christians. “See? God is ONE!”
But here’s what I didn’t know. The Hebrew word for “one” there is echad.
And echad isn’t always a solitary one. When the Bible says a man and wife become “one flesh” — that’s echad. Genesis 2:24. Two becoming a unity.
When the people acted “as one man” — echad. A unified many.
There’s a different Hebrew word for absolute, solitary oneness — yachid.
And God did NOT use it in the Shema.
He chose echad. Compound unity. Plural oneness.
So it flipped on me…
The verse I used to disprove the Trinity was secretly the door to it.
And in Genesis, God says “Let US make man in OUR image.” Genesis 1:26. Us. Our. From the very first chapter.
I was using the oneness of God to fight the Gospel.
But His oneness was never the flat, solitary kind.
It was always rich enough to hold a Father, a Son, and a Spirit.
This image confronts us with two of the greatest scandals of Christianity.
The first scandal is that none of us are good enough for heaven.
Most people compare themselves to serial killers, dictators, rapists, and criminals and conclude, "At least I'm not that bad." But God does not compare us to Jeffrey Dahmer. He compares us to His own perfect holiness. Scripture says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The proud businessman, the moral neighbor, the avid atheist, the faithful churchgoer, and the murderer all stand guilty before a holy God apart from Christ.
The second scandal is that God saves anyone at all.
The real question is not, "How could God save someone like Dahmer if he truly repented and believed?" The real question is, "How could God save any of us?" Every person deserves judgment. Every person deserves separation from God. Salvation is never owed. It is never earned. It is pure grace from beginning to end.
That is what makes the gospel so offensive to human pride. It tells the worst sinner that he can be forgiven through Christ, and it tells the best-looking sinner that he cannot save himself.
The cross levels everyone. We are all condemned in Adam, and the only hope for any of us is Jesus Christ.
True, my parents were told the same about me. The doctors were pushing my parents to do further tests to verify it, but when my parents asked what they could do for me if I had a chromosomal disorder, it was nothing (only abortion). My parents trusted the Lord instead.
My inbox has been flooded with messages from parents who say their doctors told them their baby would have a disability and recommended abortion.
They refused and delivered baby.
Baby was born with no disability.
Of course not every case, but thousands and thousands.

MORMONISM: started by Joseph Smith claiming an angel gave him a message.
ISLAM: started by Muhammad claiming an angel gave him a message.
BIBLE: “even if an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him (Gal. 1:8)!”
Three steps of a moral revolution, according to Theo Hobson:
1. What was once condemned is now celebrated.
2. What was once celebrated is now condemned.
3. Those who refuse to celebrate are condemned.
@chicagobulls Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! - Isaiah 5:20
Shame on y’all. I applaud Jaden Ivey for standing up for what he believes in. May God bless him greatly.
Effectively all growth in corn production over the last 20 years is for ethanol.
~20 million acres of conservation land, grassland, and soybean rotation was turned into corn monoculture that effectively strip mines the topsoil.
Meanwhile it’s the most fertilizer dependent crop with only a 40% uptake rate. So ~1.7 million tons of nitrogen runoff flows into the Mississippi basin annually while also polluting their own water supplies. This runoff ends up expanding the Gulf deadzone, which is also where 40% of domestic seafood comes from.
It’s hard to find a worse way to create fuel, with a wicked level of waste and downstream consequences.
The average person knows shockingly little about what warfare actually looks like in the 21st century, and I believe that explains a lot about the way they think.
Jesus was unvaccinated
Jesus fed the poor without using the government or raising taxes
Jesus defined marriage as M + F
Jesus told people to buy self-defense weapons
Jesus was majority-culture in his region
Jesus only selected men for leadership positions
You can selectively-edit Jesus to be a mascot for virtually any cause, but he is a Lord not a mascot.
Horrific story out of South Korea. A young woman wanted a late-term abortion, and her “doctors” delivered her 36 week old baby via c-section, alive, and then stuffed the baby in a freezer, where the baby died.
Abortion is legal in South Korea through all nine months. It would have been legal if they had murdered the baby in-utero, but because the baby died in the freezer, not the womb, there are now murder charges.
Infanticide and abortion are two sides of the same coin.
Same human lives, but different locations.
The murder of babies is the most prevalent and depraved evil in the world today.
People ask me why I spend so much time advocating for these lives. This is why.
We must criminalize the killing of babies, born and unborn.
🚨 @ABC appears to implement Gaza “journalism” standards for targeted military action against Iran:
Immediately echo claims from terrorists with zero fact-checking.
Tasnim is closely tied to Iran’s Islamist Terror Regime and IRGC. Tasnim is regime propaganda and it is an abdication of journalistic integrity to take its “reporting” seriously.
Don Lemon may identify as a journalist but he was obviously part of the attack on Cities Church. He should be justly prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
