@michaelmiraflor “AOL sucks” was a very popular early Internet meme. Anti-AOL sentiment was everywhere. Not to mention Y2K and other 90’s apocalyptic doomerism similar to today’s AI doomerism. The Matrix, The End of Work, Unabomber, industries ending like travel agents and newspapers, etc.
