Thanks to President @BarackObama and President @JoeBiden, the Affordable Care Act has made health care accessible for millions of Americans—no matter your gender, where you live, or whether you have preexisting conditions.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has demonstrated great intellect and a mastery of the law.
She was unfazed despite outrageous and offensive Republican attacks.
And she has proven herself worthy of serving on the highest court in the land.
At this moment of history , America is calling us. Do we have the courage, will we take the time and make the effort to answer… each in our own way but also as part of a national collective for what is good, decent and necessary?
Twelve years ago, I proudly stood beside President @BarackObama as he signed into law the most consequential expansion of health care in generations: the Affordable Care Act.
A point of clarification on the Ginni Thomas/Mark Meadows text message story as it relates to Justice Clarence Thomas that I think is very important if you will indulge me... (1)
I watched hours upon hours of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings, which should have been about her. Tonight, I wrote why they were anything but for @MaddowBlog:

The Citizens United decision enabled special interest groups to pour billions into elections and erode public trust.
Today, I'm introducing a constitutional amendment to overturn this disastrous ruling.
Let's get dark money out of our democracy. And return power to the people.
Growing up, my brother @CraigMalRob was my world. He was my fiercest hallway-race competitor, my protector, my back-up singer. And over the years, he’s collected some great stories about the lessons he learned along the way. ❤️
Now, kids everywhere will get to hear some of our favorites through his Little Craig Series with @Vooks. I hope you’ll check out the first book in his series—Little Craig: Balloons and Cake and many other fun stories here: https://t.co/QInO7PO4J7
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has more trial court experience than any sitting Supreme Court justice. She’ll be only the 2nd sitting justice to have served in all 3 levels of the federal judiciary. And she’ll be the 1st former federal public defender & 1st Black woman on the Court.
Every American who supports and defends the Constitution should welcome a Supreme Court justice who has worked so hard to turn our constitutional ideals into reality.
Everyone deserves a lawyer. Our legal system strives to deliver equal justice under law. It’s only because of the commitment of public defenders, civil rights attorneys, and legal aid lawyers that we can aspire to achieve that ideal.
There are things women -particularly women of color- can’t do. We’ll be labeled “hormonal”, “hysterical” and “angry”.
#KetanjiBrownJackson knows this. She kept her composure and grace for +22 hours. She showed judicial temperament, not a temper tantrum.
12 years ago today, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. I’ve always believed that health care shouldn’t be a privilege for just a fortunate few, but a right for every American.
Today, more than 30 million Americans have health coverage thanks to the Affordable Care Act.
During the pandemic, the Affordable Care Act helped make vaccines and COVID-19 tests available for free, covered emergency hospitalizations, and prevented insurance companies from denying anyone coverage based on a pre-existing condition.
.@POTUS’s American Rescue Plan helped strengthen the Affordable Care Act by lowering costs and encouraging a record 14.5 million people to sign up for coverage in 2022.
We'll keep working to improve the ACA until every American has access to quality, affordable health coverage.
