@Daniel_Rapaport Let me help you figure it out. Brooks has a huge ego, and has never really engaged with fans. Reed was not liked by his college teammates or coaches. That carried over to his professional career. Neither did much to promote LIV. I guarantee Yasir helped show em the door.
@GolfDigest I think too many people are focusing on these guys. Joaquin Niemann has just as much of chance to win a major as any of these guys. Same with Brooks. Also, there is alot of young talent on LIV who could be contending in future majors too. Also, Tyrell is right there as well.
@BroncosOutside In 95% of all tournaments, Brooks will not be featured on T.V. over the weekend because he won’t be in contention. Historically, the guy shows up and contends on tough courses (Majors) but not so much in recent years. I don’t see it as a big gain for the PGA or Brooks.
@TaraBull808 I’ve seen him interviewed. He said he heard something “pop” while squatting 800lbs. The first surgery to fix the bulging discs was a colossal failure. He had several more surgeries in an attempt to fix the first surgery. His spine is now enclosed in a “cage” to stabilize it.
@LindaRenner11@NUCLRGOLF@BrentleyGC I was unsure whether those were all signature events. It said “big events.” So, you’re likely right. I know Rory said he planned to cut back on how many events he entered, so I think they can skip some signature events.
@thefullwedge You implicated, “what is wrong with golf?” It gets a little boring without a field of big names. There’s a reason Tiger gets a lot of air time even when he is not in contention. Golf is splintered.
