The same God who appeared to Adam in the cool of the day appeared to Abraham in the heat of the day.

Adam: “in the cool of the day…” — Genesis 3:8.
Abraham: “in the heat of the day…” — Genesis 18:1.

Think about that!

If Adam’s experience becomes your theology, you may conclude, “God comes in the cool.”

Then God shows up at Abraham’s tent in the heat!

God cannot be boxed into the conditions of His previous visitation.

He may come in the cool.
He may come in the heat.
He may come in the fire.
He may come in a still small voice.
He may come in a dream.
He may come through a man you almost overlooked.

THE FIRST RULE OF NOT MISSING YOUR VISITATION IS: NEVER TURN YOUR LAST VISITATION INTO A FORMULA.

One of the greatest dangers of an encounter with God is assuming that because you have encountered Him, you now know exactly how He must come.

God is consistent in character, but incredibly diverse in expression.

The burning bush was Moses’ encounter—not everybody’s formula.

The whirlwind was Elijah’s experience—but God was not in the wind.

The star led the wise men—but angels spoke to the shepherds.

Paul encountered Christ through a blinding light on the Damascus road; Timothy was formed through Scripture, family influence and apostolic impartation.

SAME GOD. DIFFERENT METHODS.

Do not become so loyal to the cool of yesterday that you miss God standing in the heat of today.

Sometimes we are praying, “Lord, do it again!”

And God is saying, “Recognise Me again!”

Because visitation is not merely about recognising a method.

IT IS ABOUT RECOGNISING GOD—EVEN WHEN HE CHANGES THE METHOD.

Abraham did not say, “This cannot be God; it is too hot!”

He discerned the visitation in conditions that did not look convenient for visitation.

That is maturity.

Never worship the temperature of your last encounter.

Never make a doctrine out of the weather in which God last met you.

God cannot be boxed.

Stay discerning.

Your next visitation may not look anything like your last one.

My mum collapsed and we rushed her to Ace Medicare Hospital in Ota. When we got there, she was rejected. We took her to Ota General Hospital, we got there but there was no doctor on ground. The nurses advised us to take her elsewhere.

We went to two other hospitals, and she was rejected again. At one of them, the doctor referred us to LUTH in Idi-Araba or the General Hospital in Abeokuta and I began to imagine how do you refer someone who lives in Ota to Lagos or Abeokuta when she needs urgent medical attention?

At this point, we had no option. My dad suggested that we take her back home. I could not accept that. I started making phone calls, asking friends, neighbours, and anyone I thought might know of a hospital nearby. Eventually, a neighbour told us about Mercy Shield Hospital, somewhere around our neighbourhood. He said there was a doctor on ground.

We took her there. I remember being shocked when I saw the state of the hospital and the limited facilities available. But at that point, I was not looking for a perfect hospital. I just wanted someone to help my mother.

The doctor immediately commenced treatment. But before he did, he told us he would do his best, but the hospital doesn't have the facilities required to properly manage my mother’s condition.

I knew my mother was not getting the quality of care she needed. But what could I do? We had already gone from one hospital to another. She had been rejected multiple times. We had nowhere else to turn.

The most painful part was that my mother was registered at Ace Medicare. She had been receiving treatment there and normally went there whenever she needed medical attention. Yet, when she collapsed and needed urgent care, the hospital turned her away.

Three days later, she died.

I still struggle with the thought that her death could have been avoided if she had received timely and adequate medical care. What hurts even more is knowing that we did everything we could. We took her to hospitals. We pleaded. We made calls. We kept searching for somewhere that would take her.

THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY IS IN SHAMBLES.

1. Why did result transmission freeze for nearly 3 hours (20:48 hrs–23:42 hrs ) on the Election night? Why the sudden rush of 236 results in less than 1 minute right after that (Image 1)?
2. Why were 51 polling unit results uploaded ONLY after declaring a winner (Image 2)?
3. Why are 11 polling unit results still missing on IReV even TODAY (Image 3)?
