@juanrga Thanks. This is interesting but beyond my comprehension. Why would this expression for heat not define heat flow to an individual system? I fail to see that point. The text does not elaborate on this. How would the probabilities of a microstate change if not by relaxation?

@MathsGCSETutor @pickover Try diluting the information even more. I have at least one boy who was born on January 1. What is the probability that I have 2 boys? The answer gets closer to 1/2 since the 'double occupancy' two boys born same day, is less relevant.

@pickover Try simpler first. At least one M cat is black B. What is the probability of two M? It is 3/7 because out of 7 equally likely possibilities with at least one black M there are 3 with two Ms. For the stated problem the answer is 13/27. What if one M is born Jan. 1? Closer to 1/2.

@pickover The discussion is most remarkable. Wordings confuse things. In such cases make a mental experiment. Take 400 owners of 2 cats, equally likely M and F. On average 300 have at least one M cat, and 100 have both MM. The probability is then 100/300 or 1/3.

Pres. @JoeBiden is wrong. Voting isn't our most important right. Voting isn't a right. It's not mentioned in the Bill of Rights. Our Founding Fathers regarded voting as a privilege. The problem is that people use their voting privileges to infringe on the actual rights of others.
