@Variety God, I hate this new generation of writers who are basically educated ragebaiters. Why do you want to make people angry with your writing? I know you want clicks, but now it just seems you take a perverse pleasure in doing so. You have influence; why are you abusing it?
@BarackObama Thanks for making this country focus so much on race. When before, we'd focus on the strength of someone's character, now we focus on the color of their skin. Good job
Acts 15:11 "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they”
The purpose of writing Romans was to tell people who believe that they are saved by faith, not by the works of the law. This is the gospel of grace.
Acts 15:2 "Paul & Barnabas had no small dissension & dispute with them..."
Here there is a dispute about salvation through the law of Moses or faith. The law is given to help us realize our sins. No one can be saved by the works of the law, it is only by the cross of Jesus.
Romans 12:1 "I beseech you.. that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service"
Many people today try to please themselves. The bible gives fundamental answer. People become happy when they live a life that pleases God.
Rom 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..."
The best news for all people born as sinners is that their sins are forgiven & are holy. It is the power of God that brings salvation to all who believe.
Romans 1:17 "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith”
Sinners cannot live by faith. A person who can live by faith is a righteous person. A righteous person is a person who has the righteousness of God.
Acts 6:3 "seek out from among you 7 men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit & wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business"
What is an ideal church? It is not a church without problems. A church that has problems but has the ability to solve them is a spiritual church.
Acts 6:5 "They chose Stephen, a man full of faith & the Holy Spirit..."
Choosing workers of the church should not be based on social status or educational background, but based on spiritual condition. The 7 deacons of the first churches were people filled with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:1 "At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem & they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea & Samaria..."
God didn't want the gospel to remain only in Judea, but wanted it to spread to the ends of the earth.
Acts 8:4 "Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word"
Due to persecution Philip went to Samaria & began to preach the gospel. The unclean spirits came out of the city of Samaria & many sick & lame were healed. The city of Samaria began to change.
Acts 8:26 "Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise & go toward the south...to Gaza.” This is desert"
God told Philip who was preaching the gospel in Samaria to go into the wilderness. There Philip meets an Ethiopian eunuch and preaches the gospel to him.
2 Cors 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness”
When a person discovers their own evil, their heart breaks. The more our weakness is revealed, the more we come before God's grace. Our weakness becomes a chance to receive God's power.
1 Cor 10:11 "Now all these things happened to them as examples & they were written for our admonition..."
The bible is a mirror that reflects our hearts. While reading it, we must see ourselves & think, "I am here. This person's heart is my heart. I would have done this too."
John 15:14 "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you"
Jesus died on the cross & resurrected to save us from sin. And those who live according to the will of Jesus He called "my friends." A friend is a term used to refer to a close person you can say anything to.
Isaiah 41:8 "But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend"
God called Abraham's descendants my friends. God did not hide what He wanted to say to Abraham. Their relationship was deep. God wants us to live walking with Him.
Genesis 5:22 "After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years..."
Enoch lived to be 365 years old. At that time, this was considered short. The important thing is not whether you live long or short. What is important is whether you lived walking with God.
