@mtamaryland@BaltimoreBanner First week of school and the buses are already driving past 11-year olds at the bus stop. My kid and his friend walked home after the 22 didn't stop and pick them up. What gives?
What caused the massive flooding in Toronto last week? 👀👀
There are obviously a lot of factors, but one of the key ones is that for decades this province has been paving over the natural spaces that are designed to absorb rain and mitigate flooding.

The 6th decadal report on the status and trends of wetlands in the US is out. From 2009-2019 we lost 221K acres of wetlands. This is a 50% increase in loss compared to last decade. So, our efforts to conserve and restore wetlands need to be redoubled. https://t.co/7L64prSJKq
@SFilseth@SalatapNagol15@HT_GunWriter Actually, I disagree. The permit system was created by hunters/fishers and conservationists to help maintain a sustainable stock and limit over harvesting. It's necessary to maintain if folks want to continue fishing.
@3Watermelons@NekoCase One of my favorite moments was watching The Sadies and Neko play 1,000,002 Songs and Evangeline for the 2006 live album at Lee's Palace. Unforgettable.
Dallas Good was at the centre of the Canadian music universe in ways that most people might not even realize — because of both his music with the Sadies and his warm, generous spirit

@vishkhanna Same. We tried so hard to see them this past year, and every time we bought tix they were cancelled. I'm so sad to know I'll never see him play again.
Watch a new wetland get to work!
This @DucksUnlimited wetland restoration in Ohio is taking pollutant-filled water from a local canal and filtering it before it reaches Lake Erie. Another @GovMikeDeWine#H2Ohio partnership project 👍🏻
@accessd@nationalpost Alternative hot take: Parks benefit human health, communities, & environment. According to @tpl_org, all people should be within a 10 min. walk to a park. (I agree!) No CDN cities in https://t.co/mAMqe2uuEj yet, but a very useful #dataviz nonetheless.
He jumped 30 feet into water that's only 4-5 feet deep and saved the child. That would have hurt. I love starting the day with a story about the best of humanity.
