I am told that as a state representative this is the moment where I'm supposed to express my heartfelt condolences and then stand in solidarity with those on the other side of the aisle as we condemn political violence and stand unified as one people.

But we aren't "one people" are we?

The truth is we haven't been for some time now, and there is really no point in pretending anymore, if there ever was.

We are two very different peoples. We may occupy the same piece of geography, but that is where the similarities seem to abruptly end.

I convinced myself for a long time that whenever the left called me a racist, a bigot, a sexist, a fascist, a "threat to democracy" for even the most innocent of disagreements, that it was simply hyperbolic rhetoric done for effect.

And now the "effect" is a widow and two orphaned children, because the left couldn’t bear the thought of a peaceful man debating them and winning.

I don’t think they realize it yet, but murdering Charlie is going to be remembered as the day where we finally woke up to what this fight really is.

It’s not a civil dispute among fellow countrymen. It’s a war between diametrically opposed worldviews which cannot peacefully coexist with one another. One side will win, and one side will lose.

Charlie tried to win that fight through argumentation, through discussion, through peaceful resolution of differences.

And the other side murdered him.

Not because he was “extreme” or “inciting violence” or any other hyperbolic slur they hurled at him. They murdered him because he was effective. Because he was unafraid. Because he inspired others and made them feel like they had a voice, that they were not alone. And he did it at the very institutions which have fomented so much hatred toward conservatives.

I don’t want to “stand in solidarity” with the other side of the aisle. I want to defeat you. I want to defeat the godless ideology that kills babies in the womb, sterilizes confused children, turns our cities into cesspools of degeneracy and lawlessness…and that murdered Charlie Kirk.

Social media is aflame right now with leftist celebration of Charlie’s death.

I wonder if any among them understand what has just happened. If there is a Yamamoto somewhere in their midst warning, that all they have done is awoken a sleeping giant.

I doubt it. I think they gave up such introspection and self-awareness long ago.

I don’t know exactly what will happen next. I just know that it won’t be the same as what has happened in the past.

There will be thoughts and prayers…Charlie would have wanted prayers. Not for himself but for those left behind and for the country that he loved.

But then there will be a reckoning.

My Christian faith requires me to love my enemies and pray for those who curse me. It does not require me to stand idly by in the midst of savagery and barbarism...quite the opposite.

So every time I feel tired, every time I feel discouraged or overwhelmed, I am going to watch the video of a good man being murdered in Utah…I will force myself to watch it…and then I will return to the work of destroying the evil ideology responsible for that and so much more.

Rest with God Charlie, your fight is over.

Ours is just beginning.

No, Jesus was not “Palestinian.”

In fact, the Roman punishment of the Jews of Judea through the renaming of Judea to “Syria Palaestina” did not take place until 200 years after Jesus’ life in Judea.

Reality:

1) Jesus was born a Jew, to a Jewish family, in Bethlehem, Judea.

2) Bethlehem was a city in Judea, the former Kingdom of Judah. This was the southern kingdom of the Jews, the native inhabitants of the region. The northern kingdom of the Jews was called Israel; it was conquered by Assyrians 722 years before the time of Jesus.

3) During Jesus’ lifetime, Judea was occupied by the Romans.

4) Jesus was a Rabbi who practiced Judaism.

5) Jesus’ last meal is described as a Passover Seder … because he was Jewish.

6) After Jesus was crucified and killed by the Romans, his followers believed he was resurrected. Today, his followers are known as Christians.

7) Christian beliefs originate from Judaism and from Jesus, as well as from those who followed his teachings.

8) Christmas is celebrated today by Christians but it is a celebration of Jesus’ birth in Judea to a Jewish family because Christianity is rooted in the history and beliefs of the Jews of Judea.

9) Two centuries after the life of Jesus in Judea, the Romans punished the rebellious Jews of Judea, after winning the Jewish-Roman Wars, by renaming Judea to Syria Palaestina.

10) The region of Syria Palaestina was eventually conquered by the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire conceded this territory following the end of World War I in 1918. The land was assigned to Britain by the San Remo conference in April of 1920.

11) The British immediately began plans to facilitate the recreation of a Jewish homeland in the region referred to at the time as Palestine.

12) Israel, the name reused from the northern kingdom of the Jews, was established as a modern country in 1948.

13) Modern day Israel contains only a portion of the land belonging to the original kingdoms of the Jews.

He believes that human beings are naturally flawed and sinful, therefore power should be decentralized - Genesis 3:22, Psalm 51:5, Romans, 5:12–21

He believes that we should not adminster justice based on feelings or victim status. Neither favor the rich or poor, the powerful or the connected - Leviticus 19:15

He believes that you should love your neighbor as yourself. This is the root of the western ideal of human equality - Leviticus 19:17

He believes in a moral code, given by God for all people to live by. Protecting life, private property, the family, and our country - Exodus 20

He believes in making your nation better, just as Joseph, Mordecai, Esther, Daniel, Nehemiah, and Jeremiah did - Jeremiah 29:7

He believes that God became flesh, that every human being will have a decision to make, whether they will reject or accept Jesus our Lord as savior - John 3:16

He believes that we should not judge people based on the color of their skin, and instead seek to win over their soul and increase the population of heaven - Galatians 3:28

Mike Johnson believes what nearly every Founding Father believed. This is not radical, fringe, or scary. This is what built the entire world you live in. His worldview is the basis of our entire civilization, which is exactly why the media is trying to discredit and destroy it.

- The Democrat chair of the foreign affairs committee was charged with taking bribes from a foreign country
- The DC attorney general has sent subpoenas to Democrat dark money giant Arabella Advisors over possible illegal activity
- A House Democrat stalled a house proceeding by pulling a fire alarm, a felony.
- Biden’s envoy to Iran was outed as an Iranian spy
- Gavin Newsom appointed a Marylander to be California’s senator
- Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to a felony gun charge
- Hunter was also caught listing his dad’s home address as the beneficiary on a wire transfer from Communist China.
- A Democrat House member was carjacked thanks to an explosion of predatory criminal behavior sparked by Democrats' pro-crime policies.

Oh, and Joe Biden is still an utter disaster of a president, too.
