Today, we said “farewell” to former @HVMRT @MountainResqUK team mate, and @peakdistrict Ranger, Andy Valentine. He shall be greatly missed by all who knew him. Team Leader David penned this obituary, to help tell the story of Andy’s life well lived. RIP, Andy.

Tonight, members of @HVMRT visited the Nostell base of @YorkshireAirAmb to speak to pilots and medics, and be briefed on how to work around the aircraft. Thanks to @YorksAmbulance @MountainResqUK Jess, who organised this and thanks to the great YAA team in Wakefield.

Thanks to all the organisers for the invite, to learn and share practice. Moorland fires are an ever increasing occurrence and a danger we prepare for best as one team.

Late this afternoon @HVMRT were called out by @WestYorksPolice to assist @YorksAmbulance with a 35yo female who had fallen on the moors causing a lower leg injury. Due to the location, and water levels too high to safely pass we asked @YorkshireAirAmb to assist 1/3
