The structural changes have not been made. Too much power and wealth are in too few hands, and in many rural places you know that you can’t make it here anymore. That’s the real problem.

@StxTweek Hey man, hope you're still out there somewhere. Livin gets tough but no choice but to move forward. Gotta get easier at some point in the road, right? haha. Your stuff keeps me going at least. It's okay to be imperfect. Just gotta keep going forward and do as much good as we can.
People will go crazy viral saying “here’s a truth that THEY never taught us” and it’s like an extremely mundane thing that you were absolutely taught in school but just didn’t pay attention to
My photos of the abandoned soviet space shuttle Burya for @doxa_journal. The space shuttle project was one of the largest soviet undertakings but it was axed as the union fell apart. The two shuttles that were made fell into disrepair, one getting completely destroyed.
@SciCommDaniel @Saveliev_David Indeed I hope they do. Many were from Kiev and hopefully they can return there soon enough now that it's slightly safer there. I hope for the rest that the war ends soon
A chronicle of some terrifying and hopeful and mostly depressing times with @Saveliev_David in Lviv, Ukraine. Hoping to go back there at some point and follow up with everyone there, b'ezras HaShem. Will probably post some photos from the synagogue here and on my Instagram later
Shabbat services continue every Friday night as normal, though finding enough halakhically Jewish men for a 10-member minyan is sometimes impossible

Imagine that you're an afghan dude escaping taliban oppression, and you get to the UK seeking asylum, and they just unilaterally deny you and send you to Rwanda
CBS asked me today live why I wanted to quit doing war journalism after the end of the war.
This is why. Because of this guy’s picture in her mom’s Instagram.
4-year-old Sasha went missing amid hostilities near Kyiv.
Later, they found his body in the Kyiv Sea.
When this war is over, I’m gonna quit war journalism.
Fuck it.
I’m gonna get a quiet remote place to live and will be writing stories of whales and polar explorers.
