@Harv2000 Many parties are using this crisis to gain sweeping powers. United Conservative Party in Alberta has actually succeeded: https://t.co/1Lrz9af1gj
Great information at the AFAC virtual conference on lots of topics - including very relevant disaster planning! Thanks for making it happen #LCC2point0#afac#LCC
"They have to do what they think is right," the president said, adding that the Senate had acted professionally through the process." ???? Lindsey Graham's rant was incredibly unprofessional! Same level of professionalism as Trump I guess... #Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh showed his true angry, entitled self yesterday. He cannot imagine a woman’s accusations from high school or college could take him down. And so like any other abuser he’s lashing out when cornered #DelayKavanaugh
@BradyDelVecchio @JeffFlake@realDonaldTrump I am so sorry you went through that, and I hope that you have come through the experience as okay as you can be. Sexual violence affects so many of us who are afraid of being victimized again by speaking out. Thank you for being brave and talking about it ❤️
'I have never seen someone who wants to be elevated to the highest court in our country behave in that matter.' — Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Dr. Ford's composure vs. Kavanaugh's anger
Any senator who votes to confirm Judge Kavanaugh after Dr. Ford’s testimony is telling our country exactly this: the experiences of women don’t matter. Their trauma doesn’t matter. Their stories and their voices don’t matter.
The thought process for so many of us right now is, “if they don’t believe someone as credible as Dr Ford, why would they believe me?”
But I don’t think it’s about believing. I think they believe and just don’t care.
We care. Show how much you care with your vote in November.
@JRMarlow@brocktwp_probz@charlesadler@JRMarlow do you want to be a farmer? Only about 1% of Canadians are remotely connected to farming. It's hard, constant, dirty work. Yes, farmers choose to do it. But fewer and fewer people want to be involved in agriculture. Why not pay the people that give us food a fair price?
@sheilawalker73@charlesadler@gymgalca The prices won't go down. Milk prices in NZ are higher than ever. Retailers set the price, not farmers. They know we are willing to pay a high price, so they will not lower it. US products are cheap because farmers are subsidized by the government (taxes) while SM farmers are not
@charlesadler@AGMacDougall from the article "Forcing Canadian families — particularly low-income families — to pay inflated prices for their milk, eggs and chicken so that a clique of farmers in rural Ontario and Quebec are able to enjoy a comfortable living is regressive"
RETAILERS SET THE PRICE
@snoopmary@charlesadler Retailers set the price for milk, cheese, animal products. Supply management means the farmer gets paid a fair price, and anything above is retailers. Prices won't drop if supply management ends, the retailer knows we are willing to pay a high price already #supplymanagement
@charlesadler Supply management promotes the efficient use of resources. Produce the amount to meet the demand, and not dump milk or break eggs because the market or buyer changes. It promotes local production of food, something to keep in mind to be sustainable for the future
@charlesadler Retailers set the price, so if we got rid of supply management, the price of meat and dairy would not lower. Retailers know we are willing to pay that price already. We would be instead flooded with US product so US companies can make money instead of Canadian farmers #sm5
@charlesadler Supply management creates a stable agriculture industry for 5 commodities without any government subsidies! It supports family farms, a stable living (eg. look @ the AB pork industry), local production and efficient use of resources. Retailers set the price in stores, not farmers
