Received this text yesterday (as did my husband). Deceptive much? Will likely affect low-info Democratic/liberal voters most. No org/name claiming credit for this, but I'd love to know! (Added some fact-checking to prevent more disinfo)
"For voters who have been told there are powerful forces trying to prevent them from voting, or may have experienced that in the past, itโs not their fault for thinking that voting might be harder than it is. Honestly, theyโre why we did this report."

sending love to all the first-year PhD students who feel like imposters right now. I remember the name-dropping, the knowing nods, the performative contributionsโitโs all smoke & mirrors. youโre there to learn, not to know everything already. you are enough!

Relying on millions of voters - already overburdened by the pandemic & major economic stresses (let alone every other aspect of their personal lives) - to save our democracy over & over again, only for each to be only a temporary fix is really not that. And it's not sustainable.
@EliMcCann Smells a lot like the Hanna Rosin tweet about Fire Island failing the Bechdel test - complete miss of the spirit of the concept and unnecessarily divisive ๐ฌ
