Rest in Peace to Rob Holland one of the most talented pilots to ever live. This is a photo I took of him flying at the JAX air show last year. It was my first air show and Rob’s performance was simply jaw dropping. Although many people may not be familiar with the unique world of aviation and aerobatics, Rob was considered a legend and a true professional.

As a child free individual, I'm getting really annoyed with people who disparage me for having time and using it however I see fit on any given day. I made my choices, you made yours. I just wanted agency over my own time and worked very hard to achieve that.
@Swayson I am missing a lot of family gatherings so it's a great way for me to contribute, even though I can't attend. It also makes me feel like I'm still involved, even though I live half a world away.
Everytime I use the Checkers Sixty60 app (which isn't often) I'm shocked at how expensive things are.
But in the same breath, how cool is it that I can sit here in New Zealand and have groceries delivered to my family within the hour?!
@Julford57 Moving around as an atc is a bit of a long and complex process. I'd absolutely love to work WN but there are a lot of people ahead of me on the list who have waited far longer than I, for a chance to work there.
Sprinting through Wellington station with all my luggage this morning because I'm running late and I just had to stay one more night. Absolutely worth it because this city is fucking awesome.
I am starting to think that we slipped into an alternate reality in 2020. Why? Today I learned what Speed Golf is. See also: Disc Golf and what I refer to as: Water Quidditch (Canoe Polo).
@Julford57 I found it a lot more difficult to get an urgent appointment (so stressful) and it is expensive. However, I'm also not comparing like for like because in SA, I had medical insurance which didn't cover everything, but helped a lot when something unexpected popped up.
Few things prepare you for the emotional and financial roller coaster that is going to the dentist in NZ.
If I was braver, I'd grab pliers and pull the damn thing out myself. For free. Today.
@LuckyGordy It's proper gut wrenching stuff. I can't imagine how hard it must be for those who had loved ones on those aircraft to see so much information about this traumatic event online. Especially the videos.
The FAA confirms tonight’s collision near DCA involved #AA5342 and a US military H60. The helicopter was not broadcasting ADS-B data. The last received ADS-B position from the CRJ was at 01:48 UTC.
AA5342 was en route from Wichita to Washington (DCA) and was on final approach for Runway 33 at an approximate altitude of 300 feet AMSL. https://t.co/CSqWFTglMy
