The Minister was asked about removing the MPT as a requirement to help ease the shortage of French language teachers.
👉 the ministry did not accept the recommendation to remove it.
👉12.5 million will be spent recruiting new Ts, but the MPT remains a requirement for cert.

Aug 13, 2021 - last date to write the MPT

Aug 31, 2021 - licenses are revoked, new teachers can no longer teach, no new testing windows.
