Alright I’ll bite on this topic, it may not be SOBER SOBER but if that person is sober from an addictive substance that was a problem for them in the past and they still partake from time to time with other substances I think it’s okay to allow them to claim sobriety.
I was an opener at a gym and the only employee in the building from 5:30am-9am 5 days a week.
The manager position directly above me opened up. I applied, and got it.
After 2 weeks of working this position I was introduced to the manager they hired for this role. Then they said I was too valuable as the opener and it's easier to fill the manager role than the former.
The 80 hours I worked as manager were paid at $8.75 per hour instead of the $12 I was promised and the next Monday I was scheduled back for opening and only 27.5 hours.
So needless to say I quit. I never missed a day. Did my job so well I was invaluable and they STILL rugpulled me.
Hard work is punished in the US.
Little reminder to not project yourself so much in the future. Life should be lived as it unfolds in the present time. Do your best, work hard, stay humble, have a kind heart and let go. Not everything will unfold as planned… and that’s totally ok. ❤️🔥
Emotionally reactive parents put us into fight or flight.
This can cause:
- issues expressing emotions
- fawning (people pleasing) being the “easy” child
- fear of conflict
- hypervigilance: always on edge, thinking someone’s mad/upset.
I hope this video helps you understand yourself and your behavior.

healing taught me that honesty won’t ruin a real thing. speaking on your feelings won’t lose you anything worth having. setting boundaries won’t scare off proper ppl. & authenticity won’t cost you genuine relationships. remember that the next time you feel like shit because someone pulled away from you for respecting yourself, sharing your feelings, setting a boundary, &/or holding them accountable.
