It’s seems like My coaching career comes to an end after 1.5 years, during which we played 5 tournaments and secured 5 podium finishes, including a Junior World Cup bronze medal.

I have heard about coaches getting fired after bad performances.
But this is the first time I am experiencing being removed to make way for a foreign coach.

The Hockey India President stated that the chief coach of the senior men’s team prefers a foreign head coach for the junior team, believing it will help develop Indian hockey from the junior level through to the senior level. Hence, the continued preference for foreign coaches —

On 07-03-2026, during a meeting with the Hon’ble Sports Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, I was told, “Sreejesh, we need coaches like you to step up and lead our country as we prepare for 2036.”

However, Hockey India continues to place its trust in foreign coaches over Indian ones across all four teams.

Here's the story of how 7 months ago we launched @iCodeThis and how it made $7,769.70+ so far. 👇

It all started with an idea: I wanted to give my audience a fun way to practice and improve their coding skills.

I started posting on my Twitter a new coding challenge every day (image 1)

The goal: turn the component from the image into a fully functional HTML/CSS project (with JavaScript if people wanted)

Had no website. No domain name. No revenue. Just an idea. (and sort of an MVP - the tweets)

Once I saw that the community liked this idea, I proceeded to build the first version of the website (image 2).

My backend skills aren't great, so I got my good and super-smart friend @MihaiAdrianAnd1 to help me build a platform.

In v1 we had a new project appear on the website every day and allowed people to upload a link with their submission. They could also like and share them (for some extra "socialness" 😄)

I didn't like the fact that people had to leave our website so I decided to add an IDE built into it. That way people spent WAY more time on the website.

Of course, I'm not a designer either, so the first iteration was not so good. It had purple, so that was great 👍 but the rest... could be improved a lot!

Then I met a great designer @theVladC who amazed me with a brand new design for the website (image 3) which became v2 of the platform!

Also for v2, we added PRO memberships and allowed people access to a lot more features (more challenges, PRO challenges, badges, etc).

Initially, we had a monthly and yearly subscription which made ~$300 thanks to our early supporters, but I soon realized that it'll be best to have only one-time payments within different tiers.

I know that MRR and ARR are pretty cool but people are sick of subscriptions.
Also in this business model, if we do a great job, the LTV of a customer would be ~3-4 months because they learn, grow, and probably go. This is great for them, but not "the best" for the business.

After this change and some feature improvements, I started marketing a bit more (altho' all this time I was "building in public"), and the sales started to pick up!

Went from a $300+ month (March), to $1900+ (April), and to $3600+ last month!

It was a great journey! I learned a lot and I feel like there's much more to learn!

I'm super happy with the current team (we had some people join us here and there along the way 💜), and we have big plans!

Even tho' it has been 7 months, this is just the beginning! I have SO MUCH more things I want to add to make the platform the best for our dear developers!
