Congratulations to David Jackson for being selected as this week's #APPicoftheWeek with his fantastic image of squabbling goldfinches, 'Fight & Flight'.
Twitched the White-tailed Lapwing yesterday afternoon @RSPBFrampton. So glad I did, and had the East Hide all to myself for nearly an hour, when after 45 minutes eventually this happened @RareBirdAlertUK
What a bird...
Here is an outstanding image of the Black-browed Albatross that is frequently visiting @Bempton_Cliffs on the #YorkshireCoast. Taken by one of my clients Ian Williamson at sea level he managed to capture the stunning beauty of this bird whilst resting on the sea.
A 75% confidence rating of v cold weather arriving late on Saturday into Sunday. Snow will arrive from the N sea in frequent bands of showers that could give 5-10cm and there is also the threat of more persistent snow pushing up from the South East. Day temps close to freezing!!
A garden lockdown Goldfinch special from a coupla weeks ago when the sun shone!! Proof that you can take great images in lockdown @OlympusUK EM1X and 100-400. Garden count was 23 goldfinches, 3 siskins and a tree creeper everyday. @BBCSpringwatch@GwentWildlife @SIBirdClub
