How President Obama handled the Fort Hood massacre was reprehensible, but what I witnessed at the memorial service on the III Corps parade field left me with an anger I still struggle to articulate.

I was there that day. I watched people show up wearing white T-shirts with Obama’s name spelled out across them, cheering for him as though they were attending a political rally rather than a memorial for 13 Americans who had been murdered.

And then, before the names of our fallen had even been read, people began leaving.

I stood there as a Gold Star wife, someone who knew all too well what those families were facing, and I could hardly comprehend what I was witnessing.

Those families deserved a nation united in grief, dignity, and reverence for their sacrifice. Instead, I watched people treat one of the darkest days in Fort Hood’s history as an opportunity to celebrate a politician.

Seventeen years later, I can still remember the anger I felt standing on that field. Some things you simply don’t forget.

As a former NYPD lieutenant, I’ll give you the inside scoop on these protests:

Cops hate them. No one wants to work these details. You actively try to avoid the desk in order to not be notified of these.

You get to the detail and usually the “Free Palestine” crowd is on one side of the street and the pro-Israel side is on the other. You then spend the next couple hours trying to stop the “Free Palestine” crowd from physically attacking the pro-Israel crowd.

After that, the “Free Palestine” crowd will march and shut down traffic. Along the way, they’ll disrupt sidewalk cafes, random passersby, and anyone who they think might be Jewish.

Then they’ll find a place to stop, where they’ll harass cops, take their names and shield numbers, and threaten to doxx them. They’ll even pick fights with cops and do things so the cops will be forced to move in and arrest them. That’s where they’ll film their infamous YouTube videos highlighting “police brutality.” Mind you, the cops have been actively trying to protect them the entire time, but propaganda is needed.

After a 15 hour day, the cops are finally cut loose, waiting for the impending CCRB accusations.

… and everyone wonders why recruitment and retainment are down.

Jason Crow: “You shouldn’t compare the use of taxpayer dollars for public services like public transportation and public education other than like literally writing a check to people tied to an election result.”

Martha MacCallum: “Why not? It’s all money! It’s all money that the taxpayer [paid] —”

Jason Crow: “No, it’s wrong!”

Martha MacCallum: “Oh, why is it wrong for the government to take my money in taxes and spend it the way they want rather than send me a check?”

“How is it any different than taking my tax dollars and raising benefits and raising up government programs? You’re still taking my money away from me and distributing it to other people how the government sees fit rather than saying, ‘Here’s a check, you spend it on your family the way you see fit.’”

I will never understand Democrats and the media, and their obsession with sanitizing the violent crimes these illegal immigrants commit and the Americans who try to get in the way of deporting these evil criminals.

Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya says the media lied to millions of Americans about President Trump, and that after going back to the original source material, he realized he had been completely misled about Trump’s character.
