Thanksgiving Day Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we gather in humble gratitude, hearts brimming with thanksgiving for Your boundless blessings.
In the tapestry of our lives, each thread you weave carries the vibrant colors of Your love and grace.
For the air we breathe, the beauty of nature, the laughter of children, and the warmth of loved ones, we give thanks.
In moments of plenty and in times of need, Your hand guides us, providing not just for our bodies, but nourishing our souls.
May we cherish each blessing as a reflection of Your goodness, and share generously, mirroring Your love.
Bless us this day, O Lord, and infuse our hearts with gratitude every day.
Let our lives be a continuous hymn of thanksgiving, echoing Your glory in every word and deed.
In Jesus Name; Amen.

NASA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) plan to launch the world's first wooden satellite, called LignoSat, into Earth's orbit by the summer of 2024. The coffee mug-sized satellite is made from magnolia wood, a material that doesn't burn or rot in space but turns into fine ash upon reentry into Earth's atmosphere.
The use of wood aims to address the growing issue of space junk, with over 9,300 tons of space objects currently orbiting Earth. Testing on wood samples aboard the International Space Station (ISS) demonstrated that magnolia wood remained intact after exposure to the extreme conditions of outer space. LignoSat is considered a biodegradable alternative to metal satellites, which contribute to light pollution and pose threats to other spacecraft and the ISS. The scientists chose magnolia wood over other options due to its durability during manufacturing. If successful, LignoSat could represent a step toward more sustainable spaceflight practices.
