Mid-January, CCC submitted testimony urging @NYCCouncil to fund & enforce translation services & legal & housing assistance to support vulnerable NYC families, regardless of immigration status. We are encouraged to see a # of these recommendations in this announcement!
At this hearing, Policy & Advocacy Associate Juan Diaz spoke on CCC's recs to support immigrant families in NYC, including legal service investments, elimination of the 30 & 60-day shelter stay limits & more. In NYC, over half of all children have at least 1 immigrant parent.
