Trump's White House Ran an Extortion Racket Against Colorado — and Got Away With It

This wasn't governing. It was a shakedown.

In December 2025, while Trump publicly demanded Tina Peters' release and smeared Colorado's governor, his White House staffer Emily Underwood ordered five federal agencies onto a "brainstorm call" to immediately starve the state of grants and support. The next day the money started vanishing — hundreds of millions canceled by Transportation and Energy alone. More punishment followed: water funding vetoed, Space Command yanked, a world-class climate lab targeted for dismantling.

The email is a smoking gun. A federal judge called the whole idea "phenomenal" in its brazenness. Colorado's crime? Convicting a Trump ally who tampered with voting machines and refusing to scrap its mail-in ballot system.

The racket worked. Polis folded. Peters walked free. Trump got his win.

This is textbook abuse of power — using the federal treasury as a personal weapon against a state that wouldn't obey. Authoritarian regimes do this. Mature democracies do not. The fact that it succeeded only makes the corruption more disgusting.

Impeachment efforts have been launched over far less. A president who treats an American state like a protection racket target has already forfeited any claim to legitimate authority.

The same man selling U.S. secrets and access to foreign powers for profit. His golf trips have cost taxpayers over $100 MILLION since January 2025 — $4 MILLION per Mar-a-Lago trip. That's 7,000 families' healthcare... for golf.

Trump's DOJ — He sued the IRS for $10 BILLION, then settled with HIS OWN Justice Department to create a $1.8 BILLION "anti-weaponization" slush fund for his allies. Then BANNED the IRS from ever auditing him, his family, or his businesses again — erasing $100 MILLION in tax penalties. He sued himself. He paid himself. He made himself the DOJ and placed himself above the law.

Jared Kushner — Trump's "peace envoy" runs a $6 BILLION investment firm and brokered a $60 BILLION Saudi deal. He's soliciting billions from the very foreign powers whose wars he's negotiating. Ivanka and Don Jr.? Still cashing in on Daddy's office.

Miriam Adelson — Casino billionaire (Las Vegas Sands) who gave Trump $120 MILLION. Trump stood in Israel's parliament and said she "shaped U.S. decisions on Israel." She has $60 BILLION in the bank. Your foreign policy is for sale to the highest bidder.

War Without Congress — Trump bombed Iran without authorization. 18 Americans dead. Congress REJECTED removing troops. He asked for $100 BILLION more. The national debt just crossed $40 TRILLION. Trump added $4 TRILLION in under two years. $7 BILLION added PER DAY. He tells you we can't afford healthcare while he hands trillions to billionaires and foreign dictators.

$39 BILLION to Musk = 700 new public schools AND healthcare for 2.7 million Americans. Over $100 MILLION for Trump's golf = healthcare for 7,000 families. $1.8 BILLION slush fund = healthcare for 121,000 Americans. $4 TRILLION Trump added to the debt = 70,000 new public schools AND healthcare for 269 million Americans — over 80% of the entire country.

They tell you healthcare "can't be done." They tell you schools "can't be funded." They tell you the debt is too high — then hand trillions to billionaires, foreign dictators, and their own families.

This isn't "draining the swamp." This IS the swamp. The biggest Ponzi scheme in American history. The biggest fraud. The biggest grift. One family. One court. One billionaire club. And YOU'RE paying for their golden toilets.

The debt will rise regardless. At least Democrats spend it on YOU.

BREAKING: VINDICTIVE RETALIATION! Trump's own administration just admitted under oath that it canceled $7.5 billion in clean energy grants to states that didn't vote for him.

They finally admitted it. In their own words, in federal court.

The Trump administration canceled more than $7.5 billion in clean energy grants last October, claiming it was rooting out waste. As anyone with a modicum of consciousness expected, that was a lie. Federal officials have now conceded, in court documents, that they terminated the funding "based solely" on whether the recipient states voted for Kamala Harris in 2024.

Read that language again: "with one exception," a Department of Energy lawyer admitted, "the 284 terminated grants had a recipient location and/or at least one place of performance in a state that awarded its electoral votes to Kamala Harris... and has two Democratic-caucusing senators." The lawyer further conceded none of it was based on "any programmatic, statutory, cost-reduction or performance-based factor."

This isn't spin. This is the government confessing, under oath, to punishing Americans for how their state voted.
The Energy Department had originally recommended canceling over 600 grants across BOTH red and blue states. But when Russell Vought's budget office got involved, hundreds of grants in Republican states were quietly left untouched, while projects in Democratic states — grid upgrades in California and Oregon, methane leak reduction in Colorado, clean hydrogen hubs in the Pacific Northwest — got axed.

Vought even bragged about it publicly, framing it as killing "Green New Scam funding." This from a man who rivals Stephen Miller for the distinction of being the most evil person in the Trump administration — where there is admittedly quite a bit of competition for that title.

This directly contradicts sworn congressional testimony from Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who told lawmakers in June: "No decisions were made on politics." That claim just collapsed in a courtroom. It certainly sounds like a perjury charge is warranted here.

Senator Patty Murray and Representative Marcy Kaptur didn't mince words: "This is an astounding admission that the president and his team corruptly abused their power to kill good jobs and punish hard-working families because of their political views."

And it's about to get worse. The administration is finalizing new rules giving Trump's political appointees direct control over more than $1 TRILLION in annual federal grants — with power to block funding that doesn't align with his political priorities.

This isn't fiscal responsibility. It's a president using your tax dollars as a weapon against Americans who didn't vote for him and consolidating his authoritarian power.
