Husband to an amazing wife, Father of 3 awesome kids, Wofford Terrier Alum, CEREC Dentist, Sports Junkie, Go Gamecocks! Just wanting to make a difference.
I'm a huge college football fan. That being said, the way things are going the love for it is starting to fade. My son is a solid XC runner and distance track. A really good student and kid. Molding and shaping a student athlete used to be what college was about. Now....๐ฐ
The inevitable cannibalization of college athletics is hereโฆArkansas is not an anomaly; Arkansas is a preview. For every $4 million quarterback that signs with a Power Four school, will there be a tennis player, a swimmer, a gymnast, someone who did everything right, losing their sport entirely?

Eggs for Brain Health! ๐ณ
New data shows a link between eating eggs and a 47% reduced risk of Alzheimerโs disease.
90% of Americans are not getting enough of the nutrient choline.
Choline in eggs (one of the highest sources of choline) is a neurotransmitter essential for memory, mood, and muscle control. Therefore, ensuring adequate choline intake can support cognitive functions and may help in preventing certain neurological disorders along with optimizing health.
In this new study, the researchers attribute the potential brain benefits of eggs to the choline in egg yolks.
It's been known that the nutrient choline found in egg yolks, is associated with a slower rate of memory decline. This new study is even further confirmation.
โTwo eggs per day is the goal for meeting recommendations for choline and other key nutrients for brain health,โ study investigator Taylor Wallace, PhD, CEO at Think Healthy Group and an adjunct nutrition professor at Tufts University. This level has been shown to be unarguably safe in clinical studies, even in those with diabetes and those with or at-risk for cardiometabolic disease.

This man is incredibleโArtemis II Astronaut Victor Glover had a simple message to his neighbors as he arrived home:

Ways to live healthier and longer that are backed by actual evidence:
1. Exercise: Most days a week= conversational. Occasionally intense
2. Strength train
3. Eat mostly real foods
4. Cultivate genuine relationships
5. Sleep 7+ hours
6. Don't smoke
7. Have ways to cope with stress
A new milestone for humankind: The crew of Artemis II are now the farthest any human has ever travelled, reaching a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.
This surpasses the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 by about 4,102 miles.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
Exercise can offset the mortality risk of short sleep
People sleeping fewer than 7 hours a night have significantly higher all-cause mortality... but not if they exercise
Longitudinal studies show that short sleepers who meet physical activity guidelines (75 min vigorous or 150 min moderate per week) have mortality rates comparable to people getting 7โ9 hours of sleep
If your sleep is off, exercise is one of the best levers you can still pull
