I don't know who's advising the NCAA legally, but today's reported letter to DI schools that they must follow NCAA rules over state laws is one of the worst legal directions I've seen a national organization take.
Laws aren't optional. Private associations can't violate the law.
The most striking terms of the PGA-LIV merger are these:
(1) The Saudi Public Investment Fund is now the exclusive investor in the new golf entity;
(2) The Fund has a right of first refusal on ANY new investment.
