@HeyPesky @SWGlassPit @notshenetworks The fact that you downloaded a tracker can be subpoenaed from the App Store or the Play Store. If that app employs local storage only, they can subpoena your device and if they find you destroyed data... it can likely still be recovered.

My point is that regardless of what form of data storage is used, apps all have the same risk to warrant/subpoena.

Electronic data is nearly impossible to completely destroy and both are susceptible to warrant or subpoena equally. If you try to destroy it they can tack on additional crimes. Only paper can be secret and destroyed completely.

@makersmuse I don't understand the reasoning behind the change, it is an extra processing step because the real number still exists so they can find correctly.

The only thing I can think of is to reduce emotional impact on creators seeing their numbers bounce up and down constantly

@Barnacules My ex had the same problem. Went thru a massive number of tests and all of them turned up negative. Her neurologist was also a psychiatrist and suggested it was stress. She fought the idea, but when she started stress reduction exercises, the vertigo went away almost instantly
