@Special co-founders @natecavanaugh & @jfox___ spent worked at DOGE in 2025 and left motivated to extend the ethos of DOGE back into the private sector.
We asked them what they're actually building:
"We're not planning on replacing nurses with robots. We're focused on human-centric industries... give superpowers to the nurse."
"On an hour-long home visit, a nurse might have to type up notes for one or two hours after the visit."
"If we can streamline that so the administrative work is replaced, all of a sudden the job is a little bit easier. The nurse just spends face-to-face time with the patient."
"The patients are happier. The nurse gets more visits done, services more Americans, this is one of those spaces where it's just a win-win for everybody if we can use AI in the right ways."

10,000 Americans turn 65 every day. There's a nursing shortage of 300,000. The businesses serving them are massively underoptimized. @natecavanaugh left DOGE and built SpecialOS to fix it, starting with senior care.
@mantisVC is proud to back this team, let's build! @AlexPallNY@MilanKoch
