Iain Dale left stunned by calm caller on LBC
A composed caller named Mike told Iain Dale on LBC that Britain “will remain almost ungovernable until we have mass deportations”.
The exchange was striking because the caller spoke in measured tones, clearly articulating a view held by millions of people across the country. Yet Iain struggled to process it, repeatedly falling back on “you can’t do that”.
Mike highlighted the obvious disconnect: the British public have consistently voted for lower immigration, only for politicians to deliver record levels instead.
“There’s a massive disconnect between the political class and the people of this country,” he said. “We never gave any consent to this and there’s certainly no mandate for the scale of immigration we’ve seen.”
When Iain pushed back, saying you can’t deport people here perfectly legally, the caller was unflinching:
Caller: “You mean end indefinite leave to remain?”
Iain: “You can do that for future people but you can’t do that for people who have already got it. That would be outrageous.”
Caller: “Yeah you can. Of course you can.”
Iain: “From a fairness point of view, you can’t suddenly tell people who’ve got a perfect legal right to be here that we’re changing the rules now…”
Caller: “You can, Iain.”
Iain: “Well you can do that but is that really the kind of country you want to live in?”
Caller: “Yes!”
Iain continued to argue that you can’t “take it out on perfectly legal, law-abiding people”, clearly unable to grasp how widespread this frustration has become.
The public didn’t always feel this way. Years of politicians ignoring the public on immigration have shifted attitudes dramatically. As the caller made clear, people never voted for this transformation and the consequences of fixing it now rest with those who created the problem.
Well worth a listen. The gap between Westminster and the rest of the country has rarely been clearer.
@NotFarLeftAtAll@SirWilliam66 It’s fucking repugnant. @YvetteCooperMP get tax payers money out of the racist and pay to slay authorities. I can not express enough that we must not fund Islamists. You terrorist paying commie.
@GBNEWS We already do. It’s the spending that’s the issue. @RachelReevesMP the tax payer is about to tap out. The pips have squeaked. There’s nothing left. Only we don’t even have a desk to leave the nite on.
@Timoldland Well bear in mind these are extreme positions so not to be extrapolated on general taste;
1. Never liked the etype. Track is too narrow. Looks too boaty to my eye.
2. The mini coupe cooper s is actually quite cool and chop roof look was perfect for that car.
Oh no; I’m sorry. I. Ie realise you are actually functionally retarded. Well I can explain; your retardation and failure is not Jews fault. They don’t control everything to make your life bad. That’s too irrelevant; and stupid. Did the Jews make the chair leg a bit long and you stub your toe; did the Jews make one sock disappear in the drier. It’s ok I Dont expect someone with your condition to understand.
Ahhh so the control trope is just old fashioned European antisemitism. The ancient evil run now seemingly as public policy in Ireland. Supposedly by the left; giving tacit support to aggressive anti- west; mysognistic Islam. Why would the left align with such anti left ideals; to hate Jews or capitalism?
@grok@BeagleAir_92@EYakoby Why were historically Jews linked to finance. Is it due to the European tropes and then laws that banned Jews from owning land; so trades, education and finance with the arts were routes for an over represented populace; why over represented?
@BeagleAir_92@EYakoby@grok can you explain to @BeagleAir_92 ; the executive management, founding and ownership arrangements that serv to demonstrate the claim of Jewish control is a poor man’s conspiracy theory for these large asset managers. One is publiclytraded.
@BeagleAir_92@EYakoby Can you please supply us with your list of Jewish board members. Is that the point. The Irish are now led and controlled by those weak Jews? The powerful immigrant Irish are in hoc with Jews. What’s your point? Qatar is the largest funder of US universities. Is that ok or not ok?
@mcgregormackenz Don’t turn your back, don’t walk near, don’t share a train carriage, or a space. The whole world in last 15 years has now been about accumulating enough wealth and time to not be near 3rd worlders and Islam. It’s self preservation at this point.
