I am not agreeing with this just passing this sickness on.

If you are not sure if it exists there are several papers in the medicine literature attesting the increase in mortality. If still not sure visit a dialysis center. Also using CO2 has more benefits than non nephrotoxicity

I am all for using dilute contrast when necessary and never mentioned accepting sub optimal imaging. You do what you need to do and limit untoward sequela.

46-50% of PAD patients have some renal insufficiency.

Endogenous CO2 is 250 cc/min. We are adding 10-30 and it dissolves in 20-30 secs. Yes images come from displacement of blood. Yes purge the catheter before doing definitive run to avoid explosive delivery
