Enjoying the EARCOS Leadership Conference. A pre-conference session with Aaron Monitz, yesterday, a presentation on strategic thinking today and a session on my last book tomorrow and Saturday. Hope to see you there!
Happy to be doing a Webinar for Will Richardson's "BQI Community" on October 9, 2023 starting at 4 pm EDT. "Making Desired Futures Real: Tools and Techniques That Move Beyond Futures Thinking" draws on decades of work I have done helping schools move towards bold futures.
Grateful to be presenting at the EARCOS Teachers Conference in beautiful Kota Kinabalu! @EARCOSORG
My first session takes place Thursday and Friday if you're lucky enough to be in this beautiful place.
Grateful for the opportunity to share some thoughts in the current edition of the EARCOS Triannual Journal The article is โCan We Please Shelve the Traditional Strategic Plan now?โ and it can be found on Page 12l. Thanks to @EARCOS! https://t.co/DOZ48WYk9U
@butcher74 Agreed, Jon. Intentionality is key to doing more than just asking kids to use what they already have. Working backwards from desired transfer goals, demonstrations and evidence drives the intentionality needed to develop or grow skills and dispositions with purpose. @jaymctighe
I thought it was relevant to share some thoughts about how we need to re-energize ourselves and our schools by taking on important long-term work after the challenges of the past 2 years. Now is precisely the time we need to move beyond the existential. https://t.co/JOmYNpOlNs
Excited to deliver 3 sessions tomorrow @STLinSTL! Grateful to be here with so many others committed to learning at the Summit for Transformative Learning in St. Louis.

@butcher74@jaymctighe That's exactly what I propose . . . just not simply through tags to planned curriculum alone, but via assessments and feedback data.
Co-author and friend Jay McTighe and I will be doing a webinar on our book, Leading Modern Learning, on August 25 with edWeb. Find out more here: https://t.co/gmqPxr1S4X
